Hey I can tell u one difference between appy and frooti.

Hey since you are one step from insanity why the hell should we listen to your suggestions. So takem to the suggestions thread.

As i said stuff like legal prostitution and its implementable forms are beyond the understanding of the common man and its stupid for anyone who believes in it to continue here. So lets stick to the amount of interference in our private lives that the government should be allowed...

I mean what hurts me the most is the No Hugging and Kissing rule on marine drive kind of rules, that these impotent government types indulge in. And funnily enough noone seems to make any noise about this. For a country that came up with the Kamasutra kissing in public is banned!!!

Anyways since i seem to love critical reasoning very much, I believe the day the average indian man and woman start kissing in public is the day we would have become a developed country.

Yes, the day we become a developed country would mean that we dont have time for such nonsense or moral police and such stuff and hence the average indian man and woman would be found kissing in public with nobody to object. Lots of busy bodies around today!!

Its just a case of hypocrisy, nothing else. WE tell ourselves that our culture doesnt permit man and woman to engage in such acts publicly, and that our culture is the best.


Now, coming back to the topic, what i feel the situation is that the NDF wants to woo the traditional Sena supporters, and hence is indulging in this so called Moral Policing.Why, it even had the backing of Sena in the attempt to drive out the slum dwellers and in shutting down the dance bars. And in the process has ruined Mumbai..

Just a few points:

1. Appy, you talk of civilization. Ancient India is supposed to have been a highly developed and extremely civilized society where women were given tremendous respect.......then howcome prostitution existed even then? The point I am making is not about our families participating in it.....what I am saying is that any sensible person will realize that prostitution will continue regardless of any law against it.....so it's better to have a regulation on it rather than allow it to be the way it is today.....a source of hafta for cops and the cause of an AIDS epidemic....

2. Someone took up my point of people making out in public....please don't be so damn literal.....no1 would have sex in public (tho I am still not against it ), but I want to ask you, have'nt you seen people kiss? Is that wrong? Is it a "vice" to kiss? A crime? Even further, would you bribe a couple to go to a hotel even if they were just walking with their arms entwined? Is that expression of emotion also denied? And right now, even just being there is a crime!!!!!! What to mention these things....

3. DG, liked your points about the crackers and the namaaz....

4. As for pleasing the moral brigade, well, I don't know....personally I think it's all about increasing their income from hafta and getting more power for themselves by having laws that literally make them unopposable.....

PS: The latest is that the girls who worked in dance bars are now forming groups of 5-10 and working out of rented homes......with "madams" co-ordinating.......do Appy and co. want to debate on whether this is better? Don't you think this will cause more exploitation???
