Altavista.com WAS sold 3.3 mil$
Here's why: While the altavista technology was owned by compaq the domain name was owned by some Marshall guy.
So the sale was a settlement of a long standing dispute between the 2 parties.
In 1998, it was the highest recorded amt paid for a domain name
btw. when digital owned altavista, the web add for it was altavista.digital.com

no rungs are under the water.
the boat will keep rising with the tide and so will the ladder. as the bottommost rung is one foot above the water, it will stay so.
cheers!!

1. What was Bill Gate's and Paul Allen's SAT score?
4. Which Bank was the main funding partner for Ambani when he started out?
===================
1 ) Paul Allen : 1600 which was considered to be all perfect.
Bill Gate : 1590
4) CBI (Central Bank of India) (a wild guess)
-There are very few perfect people in this world- -Rest are either right handed or left minded-
