Well i know there is already a thread devoted to music(what songs are u listening to)but i, a die hard rock music fan,felt that there shud be a thread dedicated to the biggest gift to us music lovers
THE ROCK MUSIC.

that guitar strings,the drums,the piano not to mention the lyrics ranging from pychedellic to sexual to love to world peace and god knows what not ,they simply are awesome

and sometimes biggest inspirational sources also.....
well i believe that we all can tell what all groups we all like and also the trivia about them...not to mention which was the first song u listened to....
i like NIRVNA,PINK FLOYD,LINKIN PARK,RAMMSTEIN and hell lot of others.....
i started from BONJOVI then came to metallica and then guns n roses.....
my first rock song....SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT by nirvana...as for the trivia ,i will wait for some response,then share it...

let me see how many rock lovers are out there who keep this thread going.....

I'm a huge follower of Rock Music.. the variation in its themes and its range is what hooked me on to it.. I'm a big Fan of LINKIN PARK... they are just too damn good..

Apart from that I follow Limp Bizkit, Iron Maiden, Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls, Nickelback, Evanescence... the list goes on.. Among the classics, Bon Jovi, Metallica and Pink Floyd.. they are gods

yeah dude, u right,
grunge,punk,black,soft,metal,rock n roll and what not,i dont even know all the categories....
rock music is the best thing to have happened to the western music....
floyd,nirvana,metallica,u2 they r all gods.....

Count me in.
How the hell does people live without rock.
Its not music,its philosophy.
Its a way of life.
It is rebellion.
It is freedom.

Favourite is Nirvana. Kurt Baba ki Jai!!!!!!!!!!!!
Started listening to rock with Bryan Adams( now now I know many rock fans get offended when BA is called a rocker,I get offended too but this was a long time ago

)

Moved on gradually to Bon Jovi,then Aerosmith, then Eagles and then others.Then GNR,Floyd,Metallica,Iron Maiden,Iron Butterfly etc. etc.
Fell for Morisson dada and the love affair still continues.

As for trivia I have loads of it. Am not a quizzer for nothing

Does anybody knows which is the most redone song in history?? ie this song must have been sung by atleast 10 different groups in as many ways without altering its lyrics in any way.
Answer to this in the next post.Till then you guys speculate.

with due apologies to rock legends whom nobody bothers to hear anymore...

rock is dead..and the sooner u guys face up to it, the better

hell..every rock thread that i have come across has these coupla guys : cobain n pink floyd. sometimes there r some metallica fans too.

but its a great pity if u consider these to be the be all & end all of rock.

hi guys gr8 to see a thread dedicated exclusively to rock music.i am a big lover of rock music.for me pink floyd and eagles still rule.but i have a special weakness for deep purple.i am a purple freak!

well first of all....ROCK IS DEAD?????
well dude we all know that according to the critics rock is dead.....but then is it necessary that we all stop listening to the music or for that matter start listening to whatever the critics say has arrived.....and lets not forget things do revive(like the bell bottoms of 70's and other stuff)so why not make a beginning who knows where this begginning might lead to.
well,one finds PINK FLOYD,COBAIN and METALLICA most of the times in these threads but then so does one find almost every cat aspirant wanting to be in iim's,that itself shows what repo. our iim's have.....so why say that u find just these grps. welll they r good isnt`it thats why u find it.the name of ur thread itself shows that u(i am presuming that)r also a follower of floyd,so now just to be differnt do u expect that we shud give the names of grps that we dont listen to.gimme a break
as for discussion continuing on the other thread(well that's what my mistake is,didn't go thru ur thread earlier),well no harms,no worries the discussion shud continue...HIC,ET EBIQUE doesn't matter....
continue rocking.....here or there doesn't matter.....
