Imagine is a Solo John Lennon song dude...

Also check of Woman and Jealous Guy for Lennon's awesome lyrics...

Soft and sweet while retaining a sort of biting wit...

The Beatles were the absolute zenith of 'bands with guitars' IMHO...

Oasis, Travis etc are simply overrated...

Fav Beatles tracks >

1> Revolution (easy Listen)

2> Norwegian Wood

3> Helter Skelter

4> Hey Jude (ANTHEMIC)

5> Eleanor Rigby

Fav Beatle... well it would be blasphemy to choose do lets just say the music overcomes any individual(s)...

Cheers

Hey guys, did anyone hear the new Beatles compilation brought out by Sir Paul a couple of years back, called "Let it Be - Naked". It's supposed to contain songs the way Sir Paul wanted them to sound (that's what I remember reading when the album came out). Though the album wasn't a big hit, but still, it's the Beatles right?? Gotta listen. I tried downloadin from a p2p, but the songs sounded pretty much like the originals.....probably fakes!

Anyways, if anyone has heard that albuim, please post a review, so that I know whether it's worth buying or not!

So let's play a little game....I'll sing (write) a portion of a Beatles song....the next person has to recognise the song and continue with it....

So I'll start with an easy one....

"...she would never be free, when I was around....."

Awaiting responses!

That would be 'Ticket to ride'.....

OK, my turn.........

"....And we live a life of ease,
Everyone of us have all we need.
Sky of blue, and sea of green,
.......................................... ! "

sitter!!

Well, sorry to disappoint you, Scorpion, but I can assure you that it isnt a Beatles original...Check out the lyrics on any Beatles web site and you'll see the song being credited to 2 ppl Skylar - Velazques, originally in Spanish.....
If Iam not mistaken, this song was first taken up by the Beatles in their early days even before Ringo had joined, when they had quite a few covers to their credit....
btw, me have a 1960 recording of 'Besame Mucho' by the Trio Los Ponchos which came earlier to the Beatles 1962 release.....hope that clears things up

And about the meaning of the song title and all, chill man,.....me just having fun

And btw, seeing quite a few ppl here who rate 'Norwegian Wood' highly, could anyone enlighten me about Norwegian Wood?....Whats the significance of the title?
