ther was quite a bit of media presence... saw some people being interviewed..

Slightly off-topic question I guess, but I set up my own business and have been working at it for over a year. If this is the only work experience I have, how am I supposed to show this to the interview panel assuming I get called for an interview? In place of offer/joining letters and payslips that salaried employees show, what am I supposed to show?

Also does my company need to be incorporated for it be to recognized as entrepreneurial work experience? Thanks, waiting for answers.

I completed my B.Tech in 2008, n started an IT firm with some f my frns and am planning to give CAT n GMAt this year. I wanted to know that what proof of work ex do colleges generally ask for, as in my case my company is yet a proprietership. Are there any special requirements for an entrepreneur?

from the very childhood days.. i always thought of doing something of my own ...
and always thought of the word "Entrepreneur" as my last name .:-)
Presently working in a company that too is a biggest example of this in india. Mr NRN.

But what i always think is , to become an Entrepreneur , you have to stop thinking from your mind ,
else you will lend up nowhere, you have to only think by your soul , whatever it says....no matter how crazy it seems , just go for it ... dont think of the results and about your present comfort zone...
all this are small hurdles ...

if you really want to make a brand of your name , then start seraching for a rented garage with mind full of ideas .. and think for the D-day for listing of your IPO on BSE and NSE . ;-) .
even you think beyond , that would help to your craziness .

Work harder and smarter but for yourself only

depends mainly on college .... my college NMIMS doesn't require any proof, just a printout will do.

Some college like ISB and SCMHRD does not recognize family business experience at all, no matter how big and how old your business is ... ( I know, it sucks ;-( )

so don't worry whether your college will recognize it or not ...work on your business and make sure you know all in & out ... because that's what the interviewer wants to know ...
