IIMA allows it's students 2 year lean period where student after completing course can start new business & in case they fail, they can sit for placement for next year.
This encourages entrepreneurship among students as they can take the risk....

Planning to start similar initiative in my college.

For this, I need more information like which other college offer such intensives? (Indian as well as abroad). Any success story on one of these entrepreneurs.

I am using Google, but it taking too much time to get all information.

If anyone has any clue or lead, please pass on the information.

Help appreciated. Thank You.

AFAIK & IMO, there's no course can teach you Entrepreneurship (telling you this by personal experience & watching / listening to many Entrepreneurs)

Hey buddy.. I think if this could happen, it'll do good to NM..
Just wanted to know whether NM has an incubation centre.. I mean - that would definitely encourage students to work on their B-Plans, if any..
Does NM have such kind of a similar centre. or is planning to have one??

Cheerz

Hi All,

I would like to inform you all, that Great Lakes is pretty active in the Entrepreneurship space. In fact, entrepreneurship as a course is part of our core curriculum. This has been facilitated through our tie up with NEN and TIE. In fact, we also have a chair instituted by the TVS Capital group headed by Gopal Srinivasan for promoting entrepreneurship. In line with this, we will be organizing our first international entrepreneurship Conference on December 15th 2008. This will see the likes of management guru CK Prahalad as well as Mr.Lakshmi Narayanan, Vice-Chairman-Cognizant Technology Solutions

As far as the student activities go, we have a club called Entrepreneusrship Development Forum headed by one of our profs. The students take up consulting assignments with the industry and we have successfully completed these assignments much to the delight of our clients.
