Or you can always set up your own payment gateway
that's the last things on my mind

I am little confused here, can we transfer Plimus data to paypal and from paypal to any indian bank account? this process sound much easier to me ( i know paypal has linked up various indian banks) ... is there any loophole here?

also what if i directly setup paypal, i want to accepts only credit card ... it says shows following transaction charges for receiving money
Quote:
up to $3,000.00 USD 3.9% + $0.30
now let's say i receive 10k in one month in about 10 transaction ... then that mean my total payout will be 3.9% of 10k = 390 + #3($.30*10),
total = 390 + 120(3*40) = 510 (approx.)

is this correct? i am slightly confused here

& if i deposit this in indian bank account then paypal won;t charge me because it charge only for amount below 7k, right?

@digant_dalal

But your status shows that you are already member of NIRMA? how is that? or is it you are opting for double PG, first from NIRMA & then from EDI?

Yup, you can transfer from Plimus to paypal. From paypal you can transfer to a bank. But do be careful with paypal because they aribtly close your account and you can only re-open by sending them some docs which is a long drawn process. Google paypal and see the results you get.

Also, i think you'll have to settle for the Business account first and then upgrade to the Merchant account. Again, I havent applied for the merchant account so i dont really know about it. I've stuck to the business account since my transactions are small.

How did you get the above? I think it is 390 +3

That's what I'm given to understand. However I haven't tried this yet. Instead preferring to pay my vendors via paypal.

I have read many stories about them but it seems most of stories were related to either warez or some giving with ebay accounts

have a look at this, this is page by one of PG users, Paras Chopra... if I want something similar to that page then do I need Business Account or Merchant Account ... also if you notice carefully, when I click on VISA/MASTERCARD link on that page to purchase book, it first takes to e-junkie.com and then paypal.com ... why is that ... it should automatically direct me to paypal first .... am i right or am i missing here smting?

Paypal charge $.30 commision per transaction ... so 10 transcation will equal to $3 which equals to Rs.120 (approx.)

Paras is using e-junkie as a payment vendor. They charge $5 per month and no transaction fees. So if you are sure that your sales will be more than the transaction fee of $5 this makes sense. Though i'm not sure how they pay out.

The commission will be applied directly to your incoming amount first. So account for that then make the rupee conversion.

Hey you can explore all these option. These guys provied INR support which Paypal dosent

1. ccavenue
2. paysignet ( they are good but dont support as many online banking system as ccaveue,in fact no one supports so many banks as ccaveue,paysignet supports leading banks..they wil shortly give online banking to other banks left..thats wat they say)
3. ebs.in (this one is by Axis bank..no much information on this one..they support axis bank,hdfc,visa and master card..rest they say are coming soon)
4. 2checkout- they are good compare to others but money deposit in our account will be a problem..they send cheques by post and they will not give online bank payment system for any indian banks..so ruled out.

I am also putting a website so have done few research. Let me know in case of any question

Thanks
Shalabh

I already spoke with them .... not entirely convinced about them and it's costly also & one has to have account in axis bank

I seen many major website using this as payment gateway and I agree it is quite good but expensive when your transaction are small
