  • Shell from your own pocket
  • Ask from local money lender ( might have to give a security )
  • Get it from the bank ( jugaad baazi might be required, but nowadays even barclays and deutsche our given loans without security, but u need to show a nice ITR return, so that ruins it for an entrepreneurs )
For entrepreneurs trying to find money, there is a good concept run by several banks like barclays, deutsche, ICICI, etc. they can check that out.

I dont know but VC might be a cliche term but it is highly improbable.
well it all depends on the industry you are in. If it is a technology start-up better way is to build a prototype get angel funding first.. launch the product.. if you succeed and see more potential go for venture capital to scale up the venture.. and then finally exit thru an IPO or a buyout...

If it is a .com start-up skip the angel step(as it is not capital intensive) and luanch.. if you smell success go for VC..

My opinion is the momentum to launch tech and .coms in india picked up quiet recently. so you will see more and more VC funding in coming years..

from the last 1-2 yrs VCs firms all around the world started pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into india which right now are going mainly into Private equity but in future may cater to seed funding..

so we cannot compare our past with the present scenario w.r.t VC funding..

e.g. DLF 1340 comes down to 700
Deccan or SpiceJet ( dont remember ) comes down from 95 to 46.

and they pepped up after FM statement. I dont know but I smell fishy the way our volatile Indian stock market behaves.... People might have earned double the money if they would have bought the shares when the stock market crashed ( although they are not available easily, but to bigwigs there are )...

Looking forward to your comments...

Ciao...

I think this is not the appropriate thread for discussing this.. i remember there is a stock market thread..

Re:Be A Entrepreneur:::: - 25-01-2008, 01:50 PM

felling happy and joy's,now my search ends at this thread.....

i am longing for entrepreneurship in logistics and have deep desire for productions......
transportation being my family business,i am provided with the instinct of a logistician......
and productions being my sigh.

Entrepreneurship is not everyones cup of tea,it needs ..great desire(burning),instinct, vision(matters a lot),innovations, insanity for work,patience.........more.......more .......more........

its only INSTINCT whic makes a entrepreneur MOVE.......
