well guys... i am really interested in setting up essential oil plantation in few years time... i have studied the data and found we indians are lagging in this field apart from growing mentha oil ( used in manufacturing menthol) in which india is the largest producer in the world.

There are a lot of crops I am having my eyes on. Anybody interested in the same field do pm me for discussion...

@ apurv: I agree to a lot of the points ( as far as US is concerned)... but in India trust me on one thing... an employee never earns more than the employer... :-)

The thing is as an entrepreneur you are making all the decisions as you are in charge of things... so it gives you a sense of fulfillment rather than working in a big company but only able to make limited decisions ( this is purely my view... people might disagree )

Hi Kris..I agree with you here..there is immense satisfaction when you are doing something of your own..but then you gotta be really pep'ed up and running..coz when business turn otherwise...we guys have it..but then who said business was easy anyways...I too am trying to establish my foot hold somehow..

Its time I delivered something I have been talking about for long..:smile..The website that I have been posting about has some content on it and the response so far has been great...started clocking 1000 hits a month...I know its not a big deal but then well begun is half done..:smile:..so as usual my request to everyone here is to join me in...contribute in whatever way you can..we have stock reports...live excel quotes updater..articles..a forum..its rocking..plzz visit and give me a feedback..

Also any suggestions on how should I go around building a team now..??...Great if I get some feedback from you guys here..its valuable...

I can never understand why SP Jain charges such high fees for its programmes. Most other places(atleast in the US) are more than willing to take a 5-10% equity share with an option for the owner to buy-back at a later date. If i had the 40K needed for the program, i would invest it in the business and get it started off myself
