hi people!
i hav a debate tomm. the topic is "is page three taking over page one"
m against the motion. gimme some strong points for my argument. its really urgent....

page three people are those who work hard and party harder...mostly self-employed, tehy include designers, models, young entrepreneurs of which some of them have made it on their own and some have done it because of their family businesses but when a person who is most of the time seen on page three makes it to page 1 someday it is because he/she has achieved something which is of immense value to the industry he works in or has made a major contribution to a social cause.... he cannot aappear on page 1 because of hif lifestyle which can only take him to page three....

you will ahve to ecide whether how would you like to portray page three people as tehres is a dark side to page three as well...

since this is a debate there will be a rebuttal round as well and the person speaking for the motion can say that today's generation next(not gen x r y) is known for making the best possible use of the time at their disposal...they are known for giving due importance to their professional careers...they live life kingsize...so theres no doubt that these people understand their responsibilities as well...you must be able to cut this point as well...

this is an interesting topic and the pg junta will come out with some excellent points....

you can give examples like :

the reader of page3 are only ,some youngsters n ladies..but the gentle man who really wanted to read out the news of the country ,he first only goes for page1.
moreover, page3 is just supplement means "beta" the original master because of which it is sell is only page 1.

all students ,and all the aspirants of mba ,civil exams n for others ,only goes forpage1 and regards page3 as only shit.

the person never gain anything fruitfull by reading page3 ,and most of the gentle person never read out this.

moreover ,if page3 is in such limelite ,then why the newspaper with the brandimage of page3 can't comes out in market..and moreover all of such gossips shows which are started on tv ,are the big flops...


thats y : " three is always two steps behind of one...one is just no.1 ..the top leader...

may be u get ,sth of ur help from this..

some points:-
in the last 3-4 years only one newspaper has registered startling growths in Bombay...which sometimes have reached double figure...guess which one...Midday which is synonimous wid glamour and sensationalisation, prime ingredients for page 3
this even prompted times to get their own varient out...think its called jam or something...

serious newspapers have taken a backseat... not speaking of times which is one big page 3 paper... theve adopted a tabloid format and are making inroads into bastions of ht, hindu viz delhi and chennai.
guess why? coz sex sells

its a phenomenon happening the world over, even 'the times' of london has changed its format ....

google some key words on these and u might find more info

If Page3 is so important, then why is it not made the page1 ? The very fact that this is not done shows that page 1 is of more significance than page3.
