Not meant to offend anyone...
But is CUSAT good enough for an IIT status yet? Sure, it's big and all that, and also one of the most unstable places, what with the youth feds of a hundred parties reeking havoc there?
I personally am against it... CUSAT still has a long, long way to go...

inspite of plethora of strikes going on in the campus, with classes being suspended indefinitely currently.........there is some ray of hope for this impasse to resolve with CUSAT being granted the IIT status ........here is the article regarding this decision taken by centre http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/1...0900020003.htm
