[quote=Barricuda]Unfortunately elections in Bihar cannot be won without having a strong caste card......and all this because the educated biharis simply do not form the majority in their own state and are scattered all over..../QUOTE]
i dont agree with with u....u know there are more no. of uneducated biharis outside earning living than educated ones.....problem doesnt lies in educated and not educated/.....problem is caste.......the mandate to rule is given on caste basis.there have been many protests and outbreaks to correct that like jp movement...and all....but its the caste card that spoilsport everything......what is needed is
1) eliminate goondaism from politics
2)govt. has the duty to bring law n order for smooth functioning of business
3) education
4)self help groups
5)top most agenda...generating employement.....now that can be done by private participation....but i doubt even people like narayanmurthy will go to bihar to open a campus.....sole reason....law and order.....
P.S. -----by the way thread is getting heavy.....
baki aur ka haal-chaal hai ye bhi to batlayiye.....
i've just gone thru an article in Rediff written by Dr.Shaibal Gupta regarding the history of Bihar, reasons why Bihar failed to develop alongside the rest of India and why it continues to lag.
laloo seems to be down, put not fully out. but, the most important person this time is going to be ram vilas paswan. whether he goes with NDA or the UPA combine, is going to be the main question.
another news is that Ranjit Don ( the man accused of leaking CAT 2003) has lost the election.
i just thought to give a rebirth to this thread.
well now lalu is out and celebrations are being made from patna to california.....hope things change and i can go back to bihar and work there only.
