yes they have been building hopes for so many years now....
and i suppose this year they even got an opportunity to convert that dream to reality....

but ....... it still remained a dream....

Sachin was a BIG disappointment

it seemed from the very beginning that they feared the aussies.....thats why they were praying for srilankan victory over aussies.......so that they can beat Srilanka in the finals.....

hey,
the way v r talking, abt india's defeat, v sound as if v were some big team.... honestly how many thought we'd make it up to the semis, much less the finals be4 the WC began?

so no reason to be dejected.

the aussies deserve to win. they prepared 4 this WC when they won the last one- ok i'm kidding, they began the preps even earlier.

but this is a good begining 4 india. only if we build up a professionally oriented team 4 2007......

or is it too much to ask?

OK no one expected them to make finals after their newzealand debacle, but when they bounced back they showed us the potential they have, And dont tell me you dont believe that our WC2003 indian team can beat aussies 7/8 times out of ten, only if they stick to the basics,

talking abt the Indian Team at the WC 2003,well telling u frankly, this was the 1st time i really liked the Indian Team..the team composition et al looked perfect..and then after the NZ debacle and the loss to the Aussies in the prelims,i never thot that they wud reach the Super 6,leave alone entering the final..and then "Sachin Happened"..well but this time around it wasnt a total One Man Show..but then Sachin was awesome...even Ganguly showed sweet class in the 100s he scored, even tho they were against Minnows..but then in the end,we had a prefect end to the most awaited WC..Ind Vs Aus..the best u can ever get..and then, for the 1st time i prayed Gilchrist to get out for a Duck...and when tat dint happen..i knew India Lost the Match..but then that's history..its time to forget the past and start afresh...but now atleast the Indians can play in a kinda Positive frame of mind
