This forum (any online forum) is meant for debates. any means for discussion must be used to conduct meaningful debates. We promote debates here as long as the language doesn't get ugly.

No my friend , i could gauge from his response that he was pi**ed off bcoz of losing jobs, anyone cud be, even i wud ; but whats the point of cursing .Thats why I said " hope u care to see the bigger picture."

DG wasn't pi**ed off. He was merely trying to paint the picture from the perspective of someone who got laid-off as his job was being outsourced abroad. He was just providing another way to look at such outbursts. See, the thing with the media is that they live on hype. This incident took place a long time ago - and we are still dwelling upon it - that's ridiculous.
moreover, this was a one-off - and it took a lot of media attention because of the ongoing election campaign in the US at that time - where outsourcing was a big point of contention between the two teams.

I am sure DG had no doubts about that.

He never said he was of the Nehruvian/Gandhian school of thought. He said what he said from his perspective of a videsi - and presented his own views (i think) on this subject - which is - if we continue to belong to that school, we will continue to be where we have been ....
