Hey ppl,

Have people heard Jagjit Singh's following ghazal:

"Apni Marzi se Kahan apne Safar Ke hum hain!
Rukh Hawaon Ka Jidhar Ka hai ,
Udhar ke Hum Hain!"

Its a very nostalgic number! One of my all time favourites! The background score too is fantastic!

Another of my favourites is Bhupendra's ghazal

"Dil ka ek chehra dikhayee dega,
Dard bola to sunayee dega! "

Sad songs though.....but when one is down , they can simply relieve him of all the stress!

well boss me a listener of nusrat saheb......so will try and complete it for u .....jitna yaad hoga....kyunki kaafi samay se suna nahin....also if anyone has heard nusrat then he knows that what sets him apart are his variation and classical tone in between which can't be penned down........u gotta listen to feel...but anyways

guess it was after the death of their son.......and it shaayad they just came out with one album after that i mean jagjit and chitra together.............

also rumors are that they had problems among themselves........

though none of these i can say for sure.........i prefer to listen to the songs

even i heard the same thing that it was the death of their son which led to their separation.too bad i wud say...

sometimes even listen to farida khannum.

i came across the collection of ghazals from the serial mirza ghalib,most songs are by jagjit singh,few by naseeruddin shah too.too good.guess some of u might have already heard it...

dekh kar aap ki nigaahon ko,
arzoo-e-shraab hoti hai..
roz tauba ko todta hun main,
roz neeyat kharaab hoti hai...
