hi my favourite is ghulam ali but has any one heard any ghazal of hariharan?he ia a class act and has quite a few ghazal albums.i lke his song:-
haath mein leke yeh haath yeh waada karlo
ab na chhoroge kabhi saath yeh waada karlo.

Aah (meri faryaad/mohabbat) ko asar hone ke liye ek umr chaiye... bahut waqt chaiye asar hone tak
Kaun Jita hai teri Zulf ke SAR hone tak means will I live till the time u get know about my love. Zulf ke SAr means zulf udne tak ya sulajhne tak.. it is a deeper meaning that he conveys.

HUM NE MAANAA KE TAGHAAFUL NA KAROGEY LEKIN
KHAAK HO JAAYEnGEY HUM, TUM KO KHABAR HONEY TAK


TAGHAAFUL means Indifference... this sher is a masterpiece... explains all in 2 lines.

My fav is without doubt Ghulam Ali, absolute maestro... Jagjit singh is good but his singing style is predictable, on the other hand Ghulam Ali has a more varied style with a presence of classical rendition.

Btw my fav ghazal is
Khate hain mujhse Ishq ka afsana chahiye....

and wat abt aye-dil e nadaan from razia sultan...the pauses in this ghazal r khatru...wrenches ur heart out..
