I'll give you a hint as to what gets topics locked.

1) Replies like "yes", "I agree", "don't agree" et al. If you guys want to discuss, please do. But frankly I dont see any of you discussing the issue at hand .

2) When someone posts a thread, he/she/it should also post a pertinent point of view so that the rest of the junta can pick on the theme and discuss.

No discussion is bad. That is what I personally think. But in this thread .. I dont see any discussion except for the fact that all of you guys are appalled.

So either find something to discuss or we will save some poor dialup user from having to go through mounds of inconsequential posts. Theek ?

Hey, I just want to make one point. And that is, Cow is a religious symbol for us hindus, raping/or any such humiliating stuff with an animal that is sacred to 1 billion people is a humongous crime. Its really sick, and apart from the frustration and desperation of the rapists, it shows that they've no concern whatsoever, with the emotions of the society! Cow has been given a motherly status in India, and raping this animal is unpardonable crime!

I'd rather that these people are locked behind bars for life or executed!!! Those not in favor of Capital punishment, kindly rethink.... Such cases deserve it!!!

Lets see, how long a term is given to these 2 My take, shoot them in public!

every sensationalist article on Times Of India/Rediff.com need not be discussed to detail here.. only makes this section less worth visiting.
anyways, as far as this particular incident is concerned.. I dont think these things are a representative of direction our society is taking.
one unknown crackpot does something weird. doenst tell us anything.. & doesnt deserve our attn (sans TOI journalism ) ..
Infact, when a whole section of ppl somewhere remain muted to an incident like mass riots.. that surely has shades of our community behaviour..

Hey, thats the headline in the TOI article... The first time i read the article it indeed seem funny to me, probably the author deliberately used such words.

And frankly, this is the first time i've come across an animal rape commited by a human... never really imagined there could be anything like this!!! Hence this thread... But i think most of the pep on PG are alrdy used to such new...

Well....its time mass newspapers like TOI got over this tabloid mentality.......

Transparency Int`l has rated Indian media as one of the fairest and cleanest in the world......so its hight time papers like TOI atleast maintained the levels of journalism expected from em...........

with due regard to all other newspapers.............me thinks only the Indian Express and The Hindu can be proud of the kind of journalism they practice.
