Hey I have read almost all the mails in this thread and I was already practicing Yoga esp Pranayama .

yes Francesco i did Art Of Living when I was in Mysore. Its too good. Go and experience the joy of Sudarshan Kriya. Nothing can be said about it in words............It has to be felt..........
it was a great experience. it will be one of the best thing that will happen in your life. so dont think go and experience.....................loads of things (basic things) to learn in AOL............

The basic course is a 6 day course. You have to find out the timing. It generally starts on Tuesday and ends on Sunday with a lunch. As the name suggests this course is all about how to live your life or shall I say how to live in present.
Rather than reading this mail I strongly advice you to attend this course. This will help you.
There are only two types of people in this world, one who has attended AOL and one who will attend AOL (in near future). The only thing you have to see is that you practice the things which are taught there.....
Regarding improvement ..Yes i was able to quit smoking for more than a month.......i was not tempted to smoke. Regular smokers can imagine how hard it is to resist the temptation.....But during those days there was no tempt to go for it.......i was ok without it.........but bcoz of my laziness i left practicing it......so again smoking..........again trying to quit and start SK.........................
many other benefits.........
dont think go and spend just 6 days........why dont give a try...........it wont harm you

30 mins of Yoga is a must in my daily exercise routine. I had stopped doing it for sometime and I could see the difference (for worse). I have started doing it again.

30 mins of yoga does wonder actualy. It not only makes you feel calm, healthy, it also helps you concentrate better and gives you this immense mental strength.

Good to see!! - 09-06-2005, 12:22 PM

Hey guys,

Good to see a thread going on this topic. I was initiated by my mom into these pranayams, while she herself attended some 10-day course at Swami Ramdev's camp.

Boy!! I felt worked up after each session. Somehow, I could not discern the benefits of yoga at that time. I am going to start tomorrow to reap benefits of this age-old purely made-in-india techniques.

Francesco, you gave me the impetus!! Thanks

hey ...... dont start doing yoga without consulting an experienced teacher .
It may lead to immunological disorders if not done properly.
