hey CATophobia.....
infact, even i have the same problem with nasal congestion......... what u have to do is, begin doing it slowly till the block gets cleared......then go on full pace.......

if that doesn't work, jog for 10 mins till the internal system gets warmed up and the block opens...... now do the alternate nostril breathing...... this worked for me

guru ramdev's program is a must watch for all those who r interested in yoga.... the program is cast in aastha between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm...

Quote:
I was practising yoga for 2 years straight from 1999-2001
then i slowly stopped them to avoid burning more calories as i started bodybuilding..
i do shavasana after every gym workout...a reliever and also do some deep breathing in the morning...

Any specific asanas tht wud boost the testosterone levels..cos the more it is ...the more gains at the gym...i heard paschimottasana will rejevenate..is that true and if so ..does it means that it increases the hormones secreted by the seminal galnds?
i think u dont need to stop yoga just for the sake of gym ........
oye, what asanas were u doing bfore which were burning calories ??

regarding paschimottam asana, it basically helps to stiffen u'r back muscles, and helps in increasing the blood flow to brain..

i'm really not sure about hormones n stuff regarding seminal glands, but shall ask some yoga guru and get back to u ....

cheers,
vijay

Francesco - Vijay,

On a lighter note (but u take it seriously!) I think U should start some serious consultations on this subject. U seem to be quite cognizant!!

Cheers
Simbaaaaaa

Re: Yoga for complete health ! - 06-11-2004, 03:59 PM

hey ppl,
answer to vasudha's query
"
RKM(Rama krishna math) Hyd is a good place to learn Yoga... ,given a choice its always better to learn it from some guru...."

i myself have been practising yoga and pranayama for more than 6-7 months and i should say its quite a nice thing.. its a sad feature of our times that we r used to ppl getting all types of ailments at a very young age.. in fact we r so so very scared that we get into a shell where every small pain worries us.. i myself hv come over that bu doin yoga.. . now i don care if its a back pain or whatever.. i mean it really invigorates u to be positive...

There was this programme on national geographic where a shaolin kungfu master actually pierces a glass window by throwin a very small needle.... really astonishing to say the least.. i mean they believe that the power is within us and thats how they manifest it.. in the same way its again upon us to be "religious" in our approach.... Well it applies to me too...

all the best simba for ur endeavours..

and Vijay gr8 goin...

cheers
Kalyan
