infact, even i have the same problem with nasal congestion......... what u have to do is, begin doing it slowly till the block gets cleared......then go on full pace.......
if that doesn't work, jog for 10 mins till the internal system gets warmed up and the block opens...... now do the alternate nostril breathing...... this worked for me
guru ramdev's program is a must watch for all those who r interested in yoga.... the program is cast in aastha between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm...

regarding paschimottam asana, it basically helps to stiffen u'r back muscles, and helps in increasing the blood flow to brain..
i'm really not sure about hormones n stuff regarding seminal glands, but shall ask some yoga guru and get back to u
