1. Yes SGI is a registered NGO in the country of Japan working toward the peace and happiness of people worldwide
2.To become it;s memebr thers r no hard and fast rule.....any member can intodouce any member by just filling up a simple formm.....
with only considerations being that the person involved should not be a govt employee......as the constituion of india does not permit the govt employees to be a member of any community/orgnanization outside the country
3.nO...u dont have to practice buddhism as a part of SGI....U CAN STILL GO TO A TEMPLE,GURUDWARA OR WHEREVER TIILL now u have been goin.....but yes this philopsphy is based on budhhist techings......and it doesnt mean that u end up being a buddhist monk
4. As far as India goes it is known as BHARAT SOKA GAKKAI (BSG) and i duuno abt net i have never searched it...but in India v have approx 30,000 members and out which more than half have been added in the last 1 year..
I fi am not mistaken u from hyderabad......in hyd v have llots of PEOPLE INTO FAITH...
