Anybody heard of Sapient ??

Has anybody heard of Sapient ? Its a leading consultancy company in technology/business.

Especially what a role of an Associate/Senior Associate involves ?

I have a friend who has got an offer. He has been promised a lot on the design/requirment gathering part. Does it actually happen ? Or are the projects maintenance based or actually in consulting ?

Also, what are the chances of onsite opportunities ? (even short-term)

ya its a good company MNC, main center is in gurgaon, and opened a branch in blore too this yr. Total employee strength is 1700, out of which 700 r in India. They give initial 6 month training to freshers (they pay 15k during this time) and after that their package is 2.5-2.8 lac per annum.
[tab:334e883719]Its really worth to join this company, but it depends on persons profile, if he a fresher or experienced (which company).

This is definitely for a lateral position (>3yrs exp). My friend has taken up the offer but just wanted some general feedback.

sapient used to pay really well a few yrs back .. now its dried up a bit for freshers. i think sapient is very good for ppl who want to get into client facing, requirements analysis sort of roles, and it helps a lot to have good communication skills in order to get into that.
