Hi Junta! Plz post all your golf related discussions here....koi golf fan nahin hai kya PG par...koi post hi nahin karta!!!
I have been following golf for the past 10 years or so.So who are ur favourites junta?????? My all time favourite is Nick Faldo...the guy has just stopped winning since '96 Also Ernie Els...man,such elegant swings...its not for nothing that he is called the Big Easy.Vijay Singh has to be admired for his game...such a perfectionist.
Shall post more later...feeling sleepy now
...Cheers

hmm,....golf, a game I really cant relate to

when a guy says he is addicted to playing the game, I think I can understand....the open spaces, the technique, the concentration,...

but how do you guys follow it on the telly?
I mean,..what are you looking for?....whats so fascinating about it?...someone kindly enlighten me....

PS: Whenever I see a golf course, my first thought is,"man, what a waste of such a huge beautiful place"

tiger's back - 11-04-2005, 02:58 PM

well............im not a huge golf fan......but im a tiger woods fan.........he just has an aura abt him.......the charisma.....

saw the final round of augusta masters yesterdy night........from 12:30 to 5:15 in the morning......tiger had a 3 shot lead on di marco coming into the final round.

tiger began the day brilliantly with birdies on the 1st and 2nd..... di marco answered with a birdie on the 3rd........infact di marco had birdie opportunities on each of the first 4 halls...his putter seemed to b deserting him.

from then on it was a tight affair with leading going from 3 shots to 2 shots to a 1 shot then back to a 2 shot.

as we reached 16th hole.....tiger had a 1 shot lead......dimarco was on the green with a great chance to make a birdie....tiger had a difficult chip shot from off the green.....the pressure was on tiger.

n guess wht tiger made tht chip.......it was the most outrageous shot i hav ever seen ......im not exaggerating......tht put the pressure right back on di marco....n he missed his birdie chance.

so we go to the final 2 holes...tiger with a 2 shot lead...n u think .....now its over.......tiger had bad tee shot on 17th....n bad approach to the 18th green which went into the bunker.......he made bogeys on both the last 2....di marco made par....n we hav a play-off.

but tiger gathered himself..........made a birdie on the 1st suddent death hole.........n tht was it....i finally can go to sleep...........his 9th major....his 4th masters title...first major since.....early 2002........tiger's back.........i still cant get tht chip shot on 16th out of my head.........OUTSTANDING!!!!

woods had a bad start....he shot 74 (+2) in the 1st round....but boy did he bounce back or wht....he shot a 66 and 65 in the nxt two rounds to take the lead away from di marco. there was a stretch in the third round when he made six consecutive birdies............

he faltered a bit on the final round.....the 71 allowed di marco to force a play-off......but did he bouce back on the play-off hole or wht....
