hey saby, dont even think abt it. just close ur eyes n walk into a TVS showroom and book a FIERO F2. i hv ridden both pulsar n fiero n overall i liked fiero much better. i dont know abt others but pulsar has a tendency of skiding. pulsar dtsi is awesome too but its beyond ur budget.
cheers

No yaar, i have driven Enticer quite a lot ( one of my classmates had it) Before driving it, it was sort of my dream machine, with the right sort of looks + price. But it is way too much underpowered, the bike of that weight does not deserve anything less than a 150cc and it has only got a 125cc engine. So i dont think u should go for it.

u got it wrong buddy....

the weight of the bike gives it more balance...and the machine is for sheer comfort..

i own one and i njoy myself riding the Enticer.

If dont want a backpain due to ur two wheeler, go for Enticer....only the DX model

but price wud be 65 K on road.

and braking it Perfect.

Hi,
Its simple basically...
if u are hellbent on mileage...go for Splendor+...or Passion+
if power is ur choice(tht is u r tilted towrds it)
Pulsar or Fiero FX
Only thing ahainst Fiero is that being from the TVS stable it suffers from the perennial problem of bad roadgrip...i have one so i know..otherwise riding comfort..mileage power pick up...looks....my vote is for Fiero over Pulsar..
But Pulsar wins hands down when it comes to its road grip..its one of the safest bikes on road....plus Fiero loses on the 5th gear..above 80 u really feel the need of tht 5th gear...trust me i m a complete bike freak :-)

Even Wind125 is a good option..i hve rode one..its a pretty neat bike..
looks very cool...ridiing comfort is good with swing arm suspension and relaxed handle positions ....and five speed gear....10.5 Bhp in a 125 c.c. bike delivers whopping power and pick-up...the pick up is really smooth..
but it loses out on weight...and i agree with others tht weight adds to the riding comfort..

dont go for Yamaha...believe me....those are pretty sleek and mean machines but the first to slip on wet roads (only next to TVS bikes i shud say)..so the risk is urs...

My vote is for Pulsar or Fiero...even Wind is very good but then u will hve to "dare to think beyond ....."

hi

i recently got a fiero.the bike is ok,but i think there is a prob with the rear suspension-even slightly bumpy roads makes the ride a bit rough.Maybe its a problem specific to my bike, other fierobikers,ur opinion on this?
spledor is always a safe choice, its the no problem bike, esp if u are new to riding. The bike is smooth, not heavy but then u cant say much else abt it.
wind125,is the most beautiful of all thebikes. It is a 5 gear bike, very smooth to ride and is designed by kawasaki (not bajaj). Its well within ur budget,y dont u go for that?
In terms of power, nothing to beat pulsar.u cld ride at 60km and wld hardly feel it.But its not a bike suited for all.

Re: Which bike would be the best?? - 15-06-2004, 01:42 PM

Saby, am getting my Wind 125 tomorrow. The bike is really good. Pulsar is great, but somehow I do not like the tank. My options were Wind 125 or Fierro. Am a big Bajaj fan and I decided to buy Wind 125.

.dont think about what the world has to say...take a test ride and decide for yourself. Hope you know about the "need" and the "want". Your basic need is transportation which any bike would offer. But your "wants" vary - as they are associated with your heart (subjective and abstract) rather than your mind (rational). Some of the common wants that i could think of are - will my family enjoy this bike? will my friends say it is a good buy? will i be happy to ride this bike with loved ones on the back? will everybody look at my bike when i wait for a signal? will my friends long to have a ride on this? and so on.

The moment you buy any bike, your need vanishes. But if you pick a wrong choice which your heart does not desire, then every problem that your bike creates will look big. On the other hand if you buy the one which your heart desires, every problem it creates will be sweet.

Hey Saby, my heart says go for Yamaha LIBERO.....it looks so different from the commonplace bikes....splendor...pulsar..fieros. Looks are its biggest plus point.....i think mileage shuld fit into your spec. and the power shuld be decent......trust me you don't need too much of it in Cities. (Unless of course you go out of city too often...then you shuld consider Enticer). Yamaha is another name for reliability so don't bother abt engine life, it'll sure last long.

I personally hav a Fiero (F1)....the bike is awesome .............but F2 i feel is not as good as the original....its awkwardly huge !
Pulsar .... uuuunh very common......though its a good bike

Libero......is my choice from amongst the current lot.......its like a new gen Yamaha !

Saby,

Thought this link cud be useful.

http://www.blonnet.com/iw/2004/02/29...2900211100.htm

And look into this info. Fiero is actually faster than the pulsar 150!!

TVS-SUZUKI FIERO F2
List price (ex-showroom, Mumbai) Rs 47,100-49,200
Top speed 108kph
0-60kph 6.21sec
Kpl 60.8 (overall)
For Good mileage, nimble handling, good riding position.
Against External lubrication lines, four-speed gearbox, rear tyre.

Bajaj Pulsar 150
List price (ex-showroom, Mumbai) Rs 49,400-53,000
Top speed 107kph
0-60kph 6.25sec
Kpl 59.6 (overall)
For Good looks, great switchgear, large fuel tank.
Against Weak engine, poor handling.

Here is a shoot-out (comparison) by IndiaBike.com between fierof2,pulsar150,and cbz. though it dates back to oct 2003 the info is useful - http://www.indiabike.com/roadtest/fi..._cbz/index.htm And the winner of this comparison is FieroF2.
