Deccan Chargers!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loved the game yesterday..the interest in SA is gonna go up from here ( discounting the effects of rain)

A job pretty well done... If Deccan Chargers can make Venugopala rao and Ravi Teja (this guy opens for hyd ranji team and is quite aggressive) feel at home then it will become an unstoppable team. Else, these guys have no place in the team (who's gonna replace them anyways).

My observations:
Intensity/commitment was amazinig.
Fielding was South-Africa-Like ( Rohit Sharma competing with Gibbs and Ravi Teja taking a beauty at the midwicket boundary).
Pragyan Ojha doing a vettori act.
Fidel Edwards' yorker the very first ball - God Level...
Most of the batsmen firing

Few take aways for the Indian Cricket just before the Twenty20 WC
Rohit Sharma- This guy is an amazing finisher and will eventually take over from RDX.
RP Swing- back to his swinging ways..
Pragyan ojha- can become a very strong subordinate to bhajji
Fielding- The baseball coach has had some tangible impact..should be recruited to train the Indian Team

PS: Bring on the Daredevils

get ready for some mouth watering action today with CSK taking on the DD... Who ever bats first will have a huge advantage.. DD have a huge advantage when it comes to their opening Pair but the middle order of CSK(comprising of Dhoni, Flintoff, Raina and Morkel) is the strongest of all the teams.... Bowling wise.. both teams are equally balanced but Murali might be the telling factor...
My Take.. Match would be tightly contested and CSK might just be able to pip DD.... (provided rain stays away)...

Even i think Chennai will win today, by a very small margin. Dhoni's captaincy is better than Viru's, and the talent in the two teams is very close to each other. I feel Freddy Flintoff will be the main star today..somehow get that feel. In the other match..Punjab to win.

Yes,definitely chennai and delhi looks the most balanced teams out of all but you can never say in t20 who will be winner at the end of the day as we had seen last year when the so-called underdogs Rajasthan royals lift the trophy.but one thing i would like to say that after seeing first few matches of IPL this year i don't think so that it is anywhere near to the euphoria and excitement of last year when it was played in India.

Well, this is something new.

SRK contemplating moving base from Kolkata to some other city(probably Ahmedabad.. don't know if he'd be welcome though.. haughty customer).

He's even dropped the name Kolkata from the KKR merchandise.
Read this piece from BS.
'Kolkata' dropped from Kolkata Knight Riders

If this happens, I'm sure all SRK movies would be boycotted in Kolkata.

Great comeback by RR & DD in their respective games.
Thanks to some brilliant bowling by Kamran Khan, we witnessed first ever super over of the IPL. The guy is some find.
Saurav Ganguly played brilliantly today, but didn't get much support from the other end. Brilliant effort but in losing cause.
The two games played today completed a perfect day for cricket & were by far the best games of the tournament.

The story so far...

CAT 08 : 96.xx percentile

Absolutely awesome day of IPL yesterday.

Two neck to neck close game has set IPL on fire now. It would lead to more momentum and enthu in this tournament.

AB was rockstar for sure.He played beautifully across the field.DD played like real champion. Thanks to vettori and sangwan they came out winners.

RR is finally on victory leap. I hope they continue to do so. hard luck for KKR. Yusuf pathan played his role .

Kudos to IPL. Hope for more gr8 games ahead.

Today its time for punjab to open there account. Pieterson would also leave no stone untouched to get back in form. We are in for gr8 game today puys.

Best day of the second season so far without a doubt..two close games..with the second being as close as it gets, and Warnie's captaincy coming out trumps. The first match being a treat for those devoid of the slugfests so far. If the tournament needed a boost, this day should provide the right impetus.

The first few matches were boring to say the least. The matches were one sided and/or interrrupted by rains. Now the matches are getting more interesting. High scores, close contests- All in all the fun quotient has increased.
Last IPL saw a lot of youngsters/unknown names do exceptionally well.
This year so far it has been Gayle,Gilchrist, hayden ......I hope in the coming matches, the youngsters also do well

Coming to today's match between Bangalore and Punjab.

My bet is on Bangalore.
I wish Boucher gets a game. Taylor and Ryder have both failed. Boucher deserves a place in the squad. They swapped Zaheer Khan for Robin Uthappa and he has done nothing of note so far. KP's time is round the corner, He has been quiet so far.Should click today.
