i have been posting the same thing over and over again .. in the transfers thread at least .. but i think this Euro is going to belong to england .. for once they have a creative midfield and not just a workhorse midfield
lampard is gonna be the man of the tourney and joe cole is also in great form

other than england i think spain is going to walk away with something this year .. coz they have never performed on the world stage and with morientes in the killer form he is .. its gonna be a tough time.

aha...yeah katsumato...
it is gonna be england and we neednt wish.. it is gonna happen....
with a creative midfield and a great passer in the form of becks and a great striker owen and most of all a sturdy defence in the form of campbell and ferdinand... yes it is gonna be england this time..
and under the guidance of sven goran eriksson i think they will be celebrating this summer....

btw is ferdinand banned only for club games or for the internationals also???

No Rio mate. He's banned..... and what creative midfield? They have no1 really good on the flanks. And Owen, though very talented, seems to be in the worst form of his career. Lampard is their only real class player at the moment on current form....and of course, the genius, Paul Scholes!!!!! But I don't see them getting past Holland or Spain or Portugal.....or even France and Italy for that matter....

Cheers!
Mike

Well said ... and England have a well documented lack of a genuine left sided midfielder ....... talks of Steven Gerrard filling that gap ..... but i feel he is a much better central midfield player ... and btw he is much better than lampard ... probably the sole reason why Liverpool are in Champions league this year.

Mihir

PS: its still gonna be France

ITALIA RULZ!!!! at last , i hv finally found some like-minded folks. Iceman where were u dude? maldini is 1 of my all time favs too. the last euro was shocking for all italian fans. i still hvnt got over it! i hope these guys redeem themselves this time. much as i support the azzuris i dont think they can make it this time. no inzaghi n the retirement of maldini was a major blow.
btw cannavaro is the capt. hope he pulls of a miracle.
mike i agree with u that this is the thread i had been waiting for the most.
i think the winner is gonna be holland tho(deja vu aint it!!). these guys are the favs b4 every tournament, but the never win .what say mike?
waiting for more inputs.
cheers.
