A first-look review:

• Amazingly quick
• Sophisticated and light look
• Uses best of both FF and IE
• Quite user-friendly

In all, it is everything which google is famous for.

Its fast, seriously! Crisp look and new features like incognito windows are nice! But it lacks from saving multiple proxy settings, something which I liked with Avant.

But overall, I am loving day 1 on Chrome!

Btw, Microsoft has also come out with IE 8 beta version.

Looks like the war between Microsoft and Google is hotting up!!

Yes, the war is indeed hotting up. But, I feel it will be nearly impossible to topple IE till Microsoft OS is a dominant force in the OS market. The reason is simple, every PC that has Microsoft OS installed on it, will have IE, whether one wants it or not.

Firefox is really catching up and Chrome will be good addition and of course, Safari (Apple) will be lost.

Hmm. I was wondering why, and then I hit upon this. So, the more sites you dig up for stats, the more variation in figures is observed.

Coming back to Chrome, the feature which blocks all non-user-initiated pop ups are really nice!

I guess we have only the OS which is quite an uncharted territory which is still microsoft dominated. (Google plans to enter this soon too )

With firefox being really popular among techies and more simpler and quicker browsers entering the market, i really wonder as to how much more time IE will be able to sustain its market share.

This is my first post using Chrome, and it rocks!! I've never been a Safari fan, and I feel Firefox consumes too much of system resources, and is crash-prone.

My preferred browser has been IE7 for some time now, but looks like that's set to change.

Downloaded chrome today and i like it...extremely fast except that i have some problems accessing my orgs secure site which takes long time....pleasing looks,multiple tabs (FF was bulky) etc etc....How is IE8? anyone had a look at it?
