I have decided to never throw rubbish on street.if possible I would take any waste material back to my home and throw it in bin or look for nearby bin at street and make use of it.
I think its very easy to implement this resolution and it can make big difference if most of us abide by that.Sanitation is really big concern for our cities.

Whenever i go to the market to buy something, i make it a point to carry my bag along so that i dont have to take extra polybags from shopkeepers with every article i buy. If something can be kept in the bag without it, its good. Since i do this everytime, some of friends have also started doing it. Even though we are not large in number, but each one counts.

Also, i know of an organization wherein they keep a record of how much food was wasted the previous day n display it in the canteen. This has helped people realize how much food they take and do not eat leading to wastage. And it has evetually decreased over a period of time. People take as much as they need now.

I have seen the same thing in the IIT hostels too. They have this 'Waste-O-meter' where after eating you have to put the food you have left in your plate. Of course, this has made the IITians more aware and responsible.

I feel such a thing can be started in the corporate world too... Will go a long way in reducing the Food Wastage...
