Here's my team...  . picked the squad of 16 for a series of matches against any1....

Goalkeepers: Lev Yashin/ Dino Zoff
Defenders : Paolo Maldini , Franz Beckenbauer, Alessandro Nesta, Lothar Matthaus, daniel passarella
Midfield : Michel Platini, Alfredo di Stefano, Eusebio, Alessandro Del Piero, Johann Cruyff
Forwards : Diego Maradona, Pele, Marco van Basten, Ferenc Puskas

Ive selected a lot of my midfield men based on their ability to create chances . all those guyz are total futbollers and are capable of playing anywhere...... wud play them in an attacking 4-4-2 with cruyff or eusebio perhaps playin slitely fwd as a support to the forwards.  .
Expect some controversy wid regard to Del Piero, but i believe that he is one of the most creative players ive ever seen. Just cant keep him out after seeing his goal against Real in the 2003 Champions League. 
No arguing with the back, i guess. to get thru that line u wud possibly require a tornado
I'm surprised that no one so far included th " Galloping Major"

My dream team purely on the basis of players i have watched and followed and no Pele etc b'coz frankly i dont understand if u havent seen them how can u judge them.

For the sake of convinience and better comparisons, I'd limit my list to mostly from the last decade. However I do it only with a heavy stone on my heart. Forgive me - Maradona, Lev Yashin, Eusebio, Puskas... Van Basten...
Formation : 4-4-2 - Goalie: Kahn (cant help but love him!!)
- Left-back: Roberto Carlos/Stam
- Right-Back: William Gallas (did i mention i was a chelsea fan)
- Centre-back: JT (like u dint see tht coming!)
- Centre-back: Nesta
- Right-M: Luis Figo (got a soft spot for him)
- Centre-M: Ronaldinho
- Centre-M: Frank Lamps
- Left-M: Kaka
- CF: Owen/Sheva
- CF: Crespo/Batistuta (ok i know, he's quit... but he's like an all-time fave!!)
ps: the ones i left out... cuz i think they are over-hyped or fat & lazy (read: one particular Brazilian striker) or bald or play for some clubs I cant stand (read: a frenchman in england) or just plain ugly... Ronaldo, Nedved, Zidane, Henry,Zlatan, Adriano (ok the last two i love), Ruud van the Cheat, Moony, Beckham (need i say why?),Ballack (another cheat... shud def join ManU).... cant remember any1 else.
