Have been thinking of buying a digital Camera for some time.
Very confused about which one to go for..
Some of the absolutley essential features that I would be looking for:
1) resolution >=3MP
2) Has a charger and doesnt run on batteries alone ( would be too lazy to buy batteries)
3) Timer
4) Point and shoot ( am a total disaster with anything remotely technologically demanding)
5)Price < Rs .13000
Guys , pitch in with your views on which model I should go for

Kodak has a model that comes for 9K odd, for starters i think it is very good and very economical also. Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

Hey catacomb,
me too was searching for a 3MP digicam till sometime back until i realised that a 2.1MP is just as good as a 3MP. Check the difference between a 2.1 and a 3MP and u'll know. If u insist on the 3MP, i suggest go for Sony- P72/P32 (i dont remember the exact model which my friend had) its pretty good though. If u dont mind a 2.1, go for Canon or Nikon-2100 . I've recently got a Nikon-3100 but its 2MP and it uses those rechargeable batteries, and its just as good as the others.
I checked out Kodak too,but u had to buy that annoying rechargeable dock along with it too, waste of money and space in my opinion. Have fun searching, bye,
Regards,

hey
with ur specification provided and ur price range i think u shud go for NIKON.
u will get evry bit of specification inits model and at its best with lower price.
do bargain while buying as this company gives a lot of margin to the dealers.
Also if u stay in Delhi or Mumbai u can get the Nikon Camera at very low costin Black. My friend bought a nikon camera worth Rs. 22,000/- in just Rs.12, 500/-.
i think shud go ahead withthis pln.
bye

MY vote.....NIKON 3100......why???cos i jus got 1 n its sooooooooper.
it cost me around 14k frm malaysia...wit a NIKON 16 MB card...and an ADDITIONAL 128 MB KODAK card too.nion 3100 is 3mp n not 2.1 mp as some1 said oer here...its got all dat u want an a lot MORE...video rec without sound tho....BUT u hav to buy the adapter seperately......if u cud raise ur budget then go for 3200...must b a bit xpensiv..its got 14.5MB of internal memory n video rec wit sound KEEP SMILIN!!!its the 2nd best thing u can do with ur LIPS

One reason i feel Nikon 2100 would be a good buy is the fact that bundled with the Cam are 2 AA Rechargeable NIMH batteries and a Nikon Battery charger
Lazy bum that I am, would never want to get piled up with used batteries | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
