HP DV 6767 TX.
Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo (1.86 GHz)
3 GB DDR2 RAM.
250 GB.
15.4''
Vista Home Premium
Nvidia 256 MB.
51K + taxes.
Kindly give me your feedback regarding it. This was the asking price. I did not negotiate. Also, could you suggest me similar configs in the same price range (45-55)?
Regards. | its an awesome config. 3 of my friends have bought this model in college. good performance. sturdy computer, and really really good audio. the price is pretty ok. on total not more than 54k (taxes included). thats the price in bhopal. bargain a bit if reqd, and if they dont decrease price, ask for accessories. i amsure they would be ble to fit in those in their price. afaik .... incorrect partitioning "technically" voids ur warranty ... but then.. there's always the "restore to factory settings" option .... where u go through the entire "backup-partition-format-install" process .... and get back to the state ur lappy was when u first took it out of the box .... so when u need support ... the service center has no way of knowing what u've been doing with ur lappy ..... of course, u need the rescue disks provided by dell..
also .... if u intend installing other operating systems (GNU/Linux, mac OSx86) ... then a little knowledge about partitioning and a LOT of fiddling-around helps !!
.... or .. if u just intend optimizing ur partitions, u can resize the drives ... with a tool windows provides (check attachment)..... (this way, u don't void the warranty, u have ur restore partition, and u get partitioning the way u want it!!)
u only need to take care that u don't cause any physical damage to the HDD .. ....
edit : i have partitioned my hdd dunno how many times ..... opened my lappy, cleaned the heatsink-fan .. etc ... and i can still go to sony-service ......... cuz they don't know i've done it ... and they dunno i've posted on this forum

It was a designed piece, somewhat more like an artists's edition on the inside. Any other feedback ?
