Wow! Great news. Something very different from the normal contests on PG. For a change nothing about B-schools and MBA

A good opportunity for everyone to make some creative use of cell phone cameras for mainstream purposes All right - the camera's set, the cast and crew are all ready, now only if a small trivial matter like a good script is sorted out I am surely gonna be a part of this

The following points about the format of the video are confusing though. Some clarification would be appreciated regarding the valid formats.


8. The format for your submission is in MPEG, only. Your film will not be considered for the competition if submitted in any other format.
9. Just copy and paste the Submission Form , fill in the details and paste this form in an email, attach your film in either of the following formats AIV, Flv, 3GP, MPEG and email it to us at mobilefest@fulmarxx.net.
10. Please do not zip your movie and please do not send us any other extension files other than .flv

Yes! It’s the participation certificate is our small way of appreciating your effort and enthusiasm.

The certificate of participation can be used by aspirants/students any individual who participates as an instrument to demonstrate his or her competency in fine arts and film making which will add an extra dimension to them. It might be helpful during your GD/PI processes and...... film buffs do they need a reason......


One important thing the certificate would be awarded to films which satisfy the acceptance guidelines.

Yes yes... we at PaGaLGuY.com would be featuring the top four videos (one every fortnight) here. While the FulMarxx site would feature the top videos as well as the Videos which are great but just missed the bus by a minor point.

Great! Arrey I'm sure you don't have to worry abt the script also nikhil... cos it does not need to be out of the world it could be as simple some fun things at office, a night out with friends... a day at your campus.. event celebration at school... sleeping, yawning, talking classmates during lecs... UFOs… a day in the government babus life... mumbai streets.... racism..

these are just random topics I could think of as of now.. will add more if come up with anything.. Everyone could also share ideas for it here...

main purpose here is too get the filmmaker within us to the forefront.. Making simple stories with interesting angles, characters, locations :P., issues based stories...

Newaz to clarify your points here as well.. The formats in which one could send the film include MPEG, 3GP, Flv, AVI.

On a more serious note, I think this is a wonderful opportunity to add colors to threads like life at your B-school or tour of your campus our your memoirs of fun nights with friends, working through nights for projects and what not…..

That "single step"towards those thousand miles, albeit through a much easier & quicker journey is what the FulMarxx-PaGaLGuY.com Mobile Shorts Fest aims to provide all you tech junkies, movie enthusiasts, cool dudes/dudettes or in short Puys.

Remember the touching scene in the "The Namesake" when Irrfan Khan tells his son Gogol, "There are some things you have to remember forever, Gogol!". A breathtaking moment not worth missing. Well, too bad they dint have a camera then. Things are different now. With the advent of digital media and camera cell-phones, there's never a moment that you cannot frame in immortality.

Puys, keep those camera-cellphones charged, capture the moments, cut-em(EDIT-EM!, we have to sound filmy dont we?!) and rush em off to mobilefest@fulmarxx.net.

One Doubt.. Can some basic editing like adding credits and titles or some captions be done using a movie editor?? Is it allowed?? or we need to send the movie shot with the mobile phone in its raw form ??
