i think reserving space is a bad idea,even though i am also guilty of doing the same..

once you have reserved your space and even though you go and make a post in your reserved space that wont ensure that it will be viewed by maximum people even though you might have a link in your sig...

so i think this reserving business shud be banned and whoever has reserved space shud make a post within the next 1 month minimum irrespective of busy schedules,as and when they meet more puys they can make another post..

just a suggestion from my side to make this thread more fun and to ensure everybody reads each n every post,who knows when your appearance might be a subject of some post

added latereople,i have made a post on 3rd page,where i had reserved space earlier, and i request all others who have reserved space to do the same...

Arguments in favour:

• Reservation in PG is a potent instrument to rectify the historic discrimination and prejudice that has been meted out to weaker sections since ages.
• It is in consonance with the principle of social justice, which is a vital constitutional aim.jaise jinko abhi tak acche thanks nahi mile!
• jo hamehsa se back bencher rahe or unhe kabhi pehle post karne ka moka nahi mila.
• those who have high number of thanks and post should let ppl with lesser no of thanks to get an advantage
• There is no other practically viable alternative other than reservation.
• Reservation is everywhere in India - The head of a big firm is always the son of the company's chair, irrespective of the fact that there is another meritious person. The post of Temple priest in some temples is reserved only for a man from the Brahmin Caste, even if there is another person who knows the mantra
• jisne thread start kiya uske bhai bidu log have taken the earlier slots n posted ..coz link was thrown in SB at that time resulting to major post taken away

Arguments against:

• Gurcharan Das, former CEO, Procter & Gamble (India) strongly oppose it. He is of the view that it legitimizes demerit. Even N R Narayana Murthy , Infosys also agrees with him and holds that, "India is the only nation where people vie to label them backwards and not forwards".
• sab spam badh rahe hai..this leads to spamming
• In the ensuing LPG (liberalization, privatization and globalization) regime. How shall the noobie Puys compete with oldies puys
• The past experience in PG sector has shown that reservation is an inefficient means to achieve social justice.
• ALL ABOUT CAT thread, oldies never did any reservations and its still thriving and getting thanks

• There is fear that reservation once introduced will never be withdrawn even if there is a proof for upliftment of update of Posts . no one will bother to go back n read them
• Allocating quotas is a form of discrimination which is contrary to the right to equality.

This policy of the space booking has already caused increase in brain drain and may aggravate further.Noobies will start moving to new thread for getting more number of thanks
It should be clearly borne in mind that social justice is definitely a cherished goal, but reservation should be seen as a means towards the end of achieving social justice. It shouldn't become an end in itself!

I feel sad that I really haven't got a chance to meet most the close pals I have out here at PG

However, I would like to pour my heart out on this thread to talk something abt my frns in PG

vineet.nitd QA bond was very nervous & hesitant in the beginning while chatting with him .. ! but a very simple and modest guy ... used to discuss our prep and strategies used to have chat with him quite a lot over the phone ... invited him to come over here also but this chap is toooo busy

prem my sweeeeeet bro what a man he isssss He speaks his heart out. frank, straight forward, wonderful, great, I can go on adding adjectives to him ... he always used to listen patiently to my strategies and used to say only one word perfect ! perfect ! ... amazing guy .. an inspiration to all the CAT aspirants plz be the same anna

getneonow I met this guy awesome bloggerr ... we chat a lot ... missed the calls by a whisker ... fun loving we discuss everything under the sun

macora my colleague a nice chap ... used to discuss his prep with me we thought of becoming class mates but

veritas I met him twice a very cool and a shorttt one looks nice amazing guy

and how can I forget our greenspan he is a wonderful guy .... a true champion ... I love reading his posts .. but can't make the head and tail of most of 'em even if I read it ten times on a serious note he talks sense way to go buddy

I have read, followed every post of uncountable puys here but can associate with only few. To have a quick recap for them..

Tatimatla My senior at IIT and my ex colleague at office(thanks to him. i am totally screwed up here). I saw him PGing like crazy in office and talking tons abt the same. Thats how i was introduced to PG.

Krish.vik This was the local puy i met first in hyd at my first and last PG meet(No active PG meets in hyd. always a flop). A reason for me to get active in PG. Really humble and a Quant rocker. Unfortunate that his nemesis VA again put him down this time. But this brand lover is never going to give up. Thats for sure. One day i hope to c in IIM's

and hey recently he told me his secret. very late though I m sure he gonna kick me in chat todayand yes he reads my lengthy blogs but never cares to post a comment


esh.nil This puy never lets himself and anyone down. Loads of patience he got. Found that in the P&C problems he solves. Give him one and he wud bring out the answer even if he is unaware of nCr He was out there to check my CAT key when i was too nervous to do myself. and i am happy that atleast he got a call from IIM L ,if not me. Hope he converts it.

and yeah he takes very funny resolutions. 6 pack abs with 6 calls in IIMs
