squeam·ish
1.fastidious or dainty. 2.easily shocked by anything slightly immodest; prudish. 3.excessively particular or scrupulous as to the moral aspect of things. 4.easily nauseated or disgusted: to get squeamish at the sight of blood.

Obviously 4th one is straight away ruled out.

So which one If we take the first one it means a person who is not easily pleased, one who gives careful attention to detail. Now if you meant this, then you cannot say this is Weakness for a F1 Driver.

Second one is obviosuly not true for him as Räikkönen is very calm, cool, and calculating in his race strategy - prompting the nickname "the Iceman", which is subtly written on the side of his current helmet design.

Maybe you meant delicate,Not agressive if i am not wrong. but I dont know why you say this if you have watched kimi last year or maybe when he was in Mclaren...If you see most of the drivers in F1 who are "Agressive" like Montoya types end up in only off circuit fights..not on the podium. Kimi has the ability to control his aggression..which is what Michael did...I am not trying to defend kimi but that guy deserves much more respect and command in my opinion..if it wasnt for Mclaren's reliability issues he would have easily won in 2005 and maybe in 2003.
I mean how can someone call Raiko not aggressive..he has done it so many times in his career coming from back of the grid to clinch a podium finish..Did u see this race..I dont think you can call it Squeamish in any way..the way he went on lapping the front runners one by one...he would been on podium..had he not went off the track fighting with kovalienen...the guy seriously is haunted by Bad luck issues otherwise you just cannot question his talent or his driving skills. For your information Kimi came into F1 by participating in just 23 races in his whole career out of which he won 13..now that speaks loads bout aggression and talent.

Races in which kimi came from behind to win podiums:

2003
At the opening Australian Grand Prix Räikkönen qualified 15th in the spare car. In the race he took the lead before being caught speeding in the pitlane, after a software glitch in the car's electronic system. Räikkönen held off Michael Schumacher to finish 3rd.

2.In Malaysia, Räikkönen won his first race after starting from 7th on the grid.

2004
1.At the Belgian Grand Prix, Räikkönen qualified 10th, but took the lead on lap 11 and held on to it to take McLaren's only win of the season. He also took the fastest lap.

2005
1.At the French Grand Prix Räikkönen suffered a ten-place grid-penalty following the replacement of his new specification Mercedes Benz engine which failed in Friday practice. Räikkönen, putting in what Ron Dennis called his best ever qualifying lap,[7] qualified 3rd (demoted to 13th) with a significant fuel load. He finished 2nd behind Fernando Alonso.

2.A week later at the British Grand Prix Räikkönen suffered another Mercedes engine failure due to an oil leak; his 2nd place qualifying place became 12th. He claimed 3rd place in the race.

3.Räikkönen won the Hungarian Grand Prix from the most handicapped qualifying position, having had to do his qualifying run first on the notoriously dusty and dirty track due to his early retirement a week earlier at Hockenheim.

4.Italian Grand Prix-During the race, Räikkönen was forced to take an extra stop when his left-rear tyre delaminated, which dropped him down to 12th. He recovered, but spun his car after pushing too hard chasing the 3rd placed driver. He eventually finished fourth. It would emerge that he had 5 laps of fuel more than teammate Montoya and 6 more than Alonso during qualifying - and still managed to outpace them

5.In the penultimate race of the year, at the Suzuka circuit in Japan, Räikkönen took his 7th victory of the season after starting 17th on the grid (as rain, and an engine failure for Räikkönen, had mixed up the qualifying grid.

2006
1.In Bahrain, Räikkönen suffered electronic problems during Friday practice and a rear suspension breakage during the first qualifying session, which forced him back to 22nd place on the grid. Nevertheless he drove through the field, ending third behind Alonso and Michael Schumacher.

And Many more which i might have missed...After all this do you still call the guy SQUEAMISH? I would like to see hamilton put on the back grid and see how bold he really is? And mind you kimi did all this with second best car..i havent given examples of 2007 that is why..Cheers

Is this Thread Only for Fantasy league and Posting our scores..I posted a huge post to justify my point..Why dont we have some Good Discussions also here on this thread? I see whole lot of people active on Football Thread..Why nobody comes on F1 Thread for Discussions and Participation

Re: [2008]F1 Season - 21-03-2008, 05:05 AM

Point Noted @ mohit...
As far as any discussion goes, i would like to initiate something here.. Is Alonso, the 2 time world champion, and infinite times crib champion, and loser to the point where his rookie teammate beats the shit out of him, doing the right thing by changing camps(yet again)... And that too to his previous team, after such a controversial switch over to mclaren last year? Isnt he preparing grounds for a time in the future where he is too old to try new gimmika, and then nobody wants him? for his ability to crib would be legendary by then..
PS: the moral of the story: compare alonso and raikkonen.. two world champions, two ppl poles apart..

Hey.. dont worry about Force India.. Its a playboy's adventure. They do have better drivers than minardi or jordan had, but the car is still Indian, right?
Well, in the rookie season, it would be an achievement of the highest order if they can avoid finishing last alone.. even if they are tied at bottom, its a victory for them!
