[2008]F1 Season

Hi F1uys,

Was going through old F1 threads’ and found a very good site where we can play F1 league. The link is given below.

Looks pretty cool and simple. Have listed down the procedure for joining and playing there.

1. Open the site F1 2008 Season - F1 2008 Drivers - F1 2008 Cars - F1 2008 Fantasy F1 GAME - 2008 Free FF1 - Free fantasy formula one game for 2008 - 2008 f1 - Fantasy Formula 1 Dream League - F1 fantasy formula one racing - f1 world champion, ferrari formula one, mc

2. Go through all the links especially the “Rules” “Assistance” links given there.

3. Important Note: For registration, we can use any Team name of our choice but the Owner’s name has to be our respective PagalGuy ID for identification.

After registration, click “Join mini-league” in the “Leagues”option.

The mini-league name: f1_pagals2008
Password: pagalguy

For those who may face problems in clicking the icon links given on the site, consider this:

• Try using Mozilla-FireFox or higher versions of IE and enable/disable Javascript in your browser.
• If problem still persists, see the link below.

Some tips/info from my side about the f1-League,

1. A team once chosen cannot be changed throughout this season. So try using some Analytical Reasoning, Data Interpretation etc. to get the best combinations.

2. Couldn't see anywhere about the last date/time for registering in the site. But puys, register soon and dont miss out on any of the action.

3. After completing registration, plz post your "Team Name" and "Owner's Name (PG-ID)" here.

4. A kind request to keep the thread free from spamming, but all kinds of f1 news authentic and un-authentic, inside infos, predictions, opinions and discussions on our league, on the happenings on and off the circuits are most welcome.

Let the game begin. PG f1 rocks!!

PS: Have decided on my team name, but yet to choose the team composition. Cannot do it in office, so will be registering today evening.

Though I would love Kimi to win(which is also going to happen), I could not afford Kimi

@arunk... is it possible to see the list of all the PG league team.. I was searching for one such option but could never find that.. Thanks a lot for this initiative..

Hi Folks

This is for People who have registerd or gonna register on the Fantasy league Link provided by Arun.

There is a clause in the rules which states:
Chassis components will be rewarded for the average of the teams chosen as follows:-
� Average team qualification position up to 10th place on the grid
� Average team passing points for every position made up from their starting position, applies to FIA classified finishers only
� Average team finishing position

Engine components will be rewarded for:-
� Qualification position up to 10th place on the grid
� Passing points for every position made up from their starting position, applies to FIA classified finishers only
� Finishing position

So from this it looks like If i choose Ferrari in Chassis and Suppose Raiko is 1st and Massa 2nd i get average of those 2 that is 100+80/2=90.But if i choose ferrari in engine i get 180 points.Someone else also verify this and deduce if i am right or wrong.

And if i am right..Go ahead and change ur teams coz i dunno how many ppl selected teams keeping in mind this clause.And it will be unfair advantage for the ppl who noticed as we cannot change teams in betweent he season.

I have Massa and Fisichella as my drivers. The budget is so low. Lets see. However, if we are not allowed to change teams, where does the manager part come in during the season ?

In fantasy football, we are allowed to change a player each week and select the starting eleven, which asks for more skills. I guess the existing format can be improves upon. Also, some of the ratings are way off track.

There is one more Fantasy league which i have found..Please check this out as well..this has option of changing teams in between..also the prices of components go up and down with each race..so it makes the whole process more exciting as well.
