The biggest outcome of the race (and indeed the season) was undoubtedly the emergence of BMW as a solid "third team" that is pushing McLaren and Ferrari. The two giants can no longer relax in the face of this stiff competition being put by BMW...

Sad to see no RED on the podium (after a long time!).:new_let_it_all_out:

A great race enjoyed it thoroughly and Well.. Kubica finally did it.. a guy who had the caliber to set the fastest laps in the very first season of his has finally managed to come of age now.. ..

A Good race overall apart from tht stupid act by hamilton.. really an amateurish act by him.. ruined the race for kimi too...

And Alonso.... aaahhh well.. nothing seems to be going his way in this season...better luck next time for him..

hamilton :new_let_it_all_out:!!!!
what a race!!!half the cars were out crashing here and there..
wonder if hamilton should be asked to drive on roads with huge signal lights first ..ramming into kimi's car !!!!
no podium for ferrari...sad to see that..
i felt kimi had a chance if he has not been hit by hamilton..probablty hamilton wanted to ease past kimi to retain his position
looks like the championship is blown wide open now

Lewis Penalised Ten Places For France

Good drive by Kubica. Definitely helped by the pit lane incident but BMW were knocking the doors of victory for quiet some time now. Fantastic 1-2, well deserved.

Drive of the day was Massa - heartening to see him mature as a driver and make fewer mistakes.

Cheers!

I would argue with anyone who says that Lois deserved a penalty...
It is a stupid rule in the first case to have a signal near the pit stop and have the 80 km speed limit also... what use us it... Lois was trying to accelerate after he saw both kimi and kubica go past him which is a drivers instinct...

But the race was a good one... Kubica drove well so he deserved to win... FIA has to change certain rules ....

Re: [2008]F1 Season - 09-06-2008, 05:55 PM

Till the SC came out, i thought the race is boring but suddenly Force india car shuts down and fisichella is having jog towards Marshall. And then came the part which no one expected, kubica and kimi dying to get out in front and then comes lewis, hitting kimi and ending both of there chances.

If this wasnt enough for ferrari, they couldnt fuel Massa properly and his race was gone and i thought he would finish out of points table, but some great overtaking moves esp where he overtakes 2 cars was awesome.

All in all sad race for Ferrari and Mclaren fans. Looking forward to French GP.

Btw, great show by BMWs. nick look very upset and at the same time kubica was over the moon.

whoa buddy.. thank god u used quotes in "third team" man. after sunday's performance, dont go calling BMW that... they are at the top of the constructors, and the drivers!!

boo-hoo-hoo hamilton , grow up! look before you go a-crashin'... i have never questioned his skill.. and i believe the penalty was not totally uncalled for.. A Rule Is A Rule.. follow it, or go drive somewhere else man!!

Like it or not, rules are rules and every driver has to abide by them. The point is not breaking the rule, it is about showing maturity at the pinnacle of motorsport. A signal near the pit stop exit is the same for every driver on the grid.

Hamilton could not digest loosing his lead and that got to his head; by the time he realized that the signal was not open, it was all over. He made a childish mistake and paid for it. As simple as that.

Cheers!

Re: [2008]F1 Season - 10-06-2008, 04:08 PM

hi can anyone please tell me why no one in the f1 mini league has any ponts for bmw? as its unfair also if no points are added 4 any of the races this year then who ever is top i can not see them being the correct winner ect ect expec as bmw as a real team have been really good this year !!! any one help or agree? can we not give them people some extra points or something to give them some chance off being in the right place or at least a fighting chance or something close??
