Re: [2008]F1 Season - 09-06-2008, 01:40 AM

Ha Ha.. Loved the race!
Hamilton showed to one and all that he is a rookie after all.. A good driver, better than other rookies, but still a rookie..
Raikkonen, well, what goes around, comes around, mate.. (read adrian sutil in the last race).
Well, you know what, it took a long time cming, but Kubica did it.. and team BMW did it in phenomenal style, this might as well be the foreword to a new chapter in Formula1 Racing!
good for Timo Glock too.. and nick heidfeld, and rubens!
well, this is not gonna be alonso's year by far, and ferrari is finally getting a good all round competition..
Rai has his work cut out for him.. but i insist that Massa is still not championship material.. neither is hamilton, yet!
Massa did prove his mettle though.. 18th at one point, and lo and behold, 5th!!
he really had a good race if u believe steve slater and his 'wacky race' comment..
ciao guys!

Nice race, apart from the Hamilton-Kimi incident. True, Hamilton has shown what a rookie he is.......that is what happens when you don't have enough experience under your belt. Some consolation atleast that he looses 10 grid places for France.

Lewis Penalised Ten Places For France

Good drive by Kubica. Definitely helped by the pit lane incident but BMW were knocking the doors of victory for quiet some time now. Fantastic 1-2, well deserved.

Drive of the day was Massa - heartening to see him mature as a driver and make fewer mistakes.

Cheers!

Re: [2008]F1 Season - 09-06-2008, 06:00 AM

Hamilton started too well to retire the way he did. Disappointing!! Post this incident and resulting penalties it would be interesting to see if last years French GP results are repeated this year.
BTW, Sutil's retirement was even more disappointing. This race could have further helped him in reviving his reputation but unfortunately that was not to be.

An action-packed race, and good to see Kubica/BMW win their first GP.
Good for the viewers that it was Kimi and Lewis who crashed out, leaving both at relatively the same gap at the standings.

Kimi now finds himself 7 points adrift Kubica(42)...Lewis and Massa Tied at (3 points.

It would be intriguing to see wat Lewis can do with his ten place penalty at Magny-Cours,in two weeks time .

Go KIMI Go!!!!!!!

Re: [2008]F1 Season - 09-06-2008, 10:47 AM

well ...being a true ferrari fan i was disappointed by the result, though i liked the race ...the start was quite good for all the teams with hamilton taking the lead as expected...it looked like we were in store for something special...

during the first few laps hamilton was flying and had taken quite an advantage over kubica and kim...but the coming of safety car because of a.sutils car breaking down canceled all that advantage...then 5 cars in the pit lane at one and the race was getting interesting....but hamilton had to ruin it all by banging kimis car from behind in the pit lane.....he may be doing very well but he showed yesterday why he is a rookie...
he had ruined the race at that point by taking out kimi and himself out of the contention..i could not believe my eyes when i saw kimi showing no reaction to hamilton for this, ice cool man...good to hear that hamilton has been given 10 place penalty for the france grand prix...he deserved it...

kubica drove beautifully for the rest of the race ...he deserved to win it...heidfeld came 2nd and the cool dc 3rd...this race has actually made the constructors as well as the drivers championship wide open, with kubica leading the drivers and ferrari leading the constructors...

i hope ferrari comes back with a bang in france...
