Wow! Kubica on pole!!!!
Amazing really...BMW really have cranked up the pressure on the big two!
I will be rooting for Kubica after Alonso once again struggled make an impact during qualifying.....

Angry Re: [2008]F1 Season - 06-04-2008, 07:09 PM

Heard a Star Sports commentator (probably a Briton) say towards the end "Lewis had a bad day..But he'll bounce back..Whereas Felipe loses his head when he has a bad day...When things go right for him, he is unbeatable...But he gets ruffled easily...So for me, he is not world champion material!!!"

And what he greatly thought, he nobly dared.

Smile Re: [2008]F1 Season - 06-04-2008, 07:40 PM

Bahrain Race Analysis: In order of final position(only top 8 analysed)

Felipe Massa: This lad from Sao Paulo is invincible on his day. Kimi could only watch as Massa led from the front...Good race pancho but seriously was that your mom...an awesomely good lookin mom mayte...

Kimi Raikonnen: Ice cool from Icelandic country of Finland, super fast, super calm and sort of non-chalant at his boring second place. Seriously i would want to understand what goes on inside Kimi's head when he stands on the podium....the guy could atleast afford a smile...

Robert Kubica: This Pole on pole could not stick to the pole. So he did the next best thing, let the two Ferraris go past him and hold onto third place for good. Mayte, you rock..The strides that you have made in your relatively nascent F1 career is worthy of recognition..Carry on, that win is not far now.

Nick Heidfeld: He is seriously underperforming given the power he has under his a** as shown by compatriot and fresher by all terms Kubica. Gear up mayte, show them the ultrafast avatar of yours we saw in Melbourne. Actually me thinks he was bad at qualifying. Atleast a podium was up for the grabs.

Heikki Kovalinen: Ohh...these Finns have tongue twisters for names. Not much to comment. Did not have an exceptional race by McLaren standards. Did not even challenge Nick for that 4th spot. Seems like McLaren is suffering from poor traction control. The Bahrain circuit clearly showed that with Lewis' car locking the front tyre on several occassions for lack of Traction control.

Jarno Trulli: Consecutive sixth. Things looking up for Toyota. There is only one way to go from here and thats up....Solid drive mayte.

Mark Webber: They say that wine tastes better with age and Mark Webber is no exception to that rule. Except Mark is no wine but if age makes you better Mark then go for it....Seems RedBull has really given wings to the tough veteran....Consecutive seventh.

Nico Rosberg: The Rosberg clan showing that genes do play a part in holding onto the sweet eigth place.

Special mention:

Lewis Hamilton: Dude, dont take out the frustations with your car on the unsuspecting Fisi. Show some sportsman spirit....Those who watched the race from beginiing to end will know what i'm talking abt.

Fernando "moi hero" Alonso: well done gorgeous ....dont get wrong signals here, just tht i feel Fernando is the most gorgeous man i ever saw...plus he is a technically perfect driver.

Giancarlo Fisichella: Fisichella forces his was progressively into the bottom top half of the grid as Force India demonstrated a forceful performance to rank into 12 spot. Is a sweet 8 beckoning. Only time will tell

cheers,
TGS

Re: [2008]F1 Season - 06-04-2008, 09:07 PM

Ferrari were always going to be strong in Bahrain - fastest car in Malaysia, followed by not much testing for any of the competition for the last 2 weeks, on a track where Ferrari were the only ones who winter tested. The only surprise was Kimi's lack of pace - looking at his qualifying pace I'd thought maybe he was carrying extra fuel for the race but it turns out he was ligther than Massa even...just an off-day and off-weekend really for Raikonnen.

BMW's pace was in itself not unexpected but what was surprising was their clear superiority over Mclaren..they have some serious work to do in the next 3 weeks, but looks like the race for 2nd place is well and truly on!

Rest as expected, tho I have to give discredit to Alonso for his incident with Hamilton - that clearly looked like he was brake testing Lewis! I think he deserves a bit of censure there...
