Lucifer please don't trivialize this thread

So mind elucidating why you didn't like "We The Living"? any particular aspects? I haven't completed the book yet....but the style is a lot diff from her later works....in AS and FH she does get quite prolix in some places...."We The.." it is easier to follow.....the one thing abt Ayn Rand which always makes me go "duh???" is when she writes in abt the "romantic" part of her characters...somehow I don't find it convincing enough..be it that of Kira Argounova or Dagny Taggart or Dominic Francon...or their invariably more than one male counterparts

There is something tangible missing..I have never been able to pinpoint it..wonder IF anyone else out here share the same feeling too....

Not that it is conclusive of anything...but yes it does seem Frank Lloyd may have been a bit influential in the characterization of Howard Roark
