I've thought about this before.
1) Increase the importance of english 10-fold, or mebbe 100-fold. Make it a mandatory language. Its for communication with the world. Every TDH has to know english first, then others. Dont give a damn to whether its a foriegn language. Our forefathers came from Upper Asia... whats this 'ours' thing?
2) Crush bureaucracy with iron-hand. Make 10-hour work mandatory in all Govt offices. A pink slip to half of them. Heavy fines for absence.
3) Propose (atleast scare) Hardline-Afghan style punishment for bribe, theft, rape, misbehaviour, murder and other felony. Never gonna work out but it'll scare the shit out of a lotta them.
4) 2-minute time allocation at the end of 8.00 news to flash the images of corrupt-policitians of the day, with shameful caricatures and pen-names.
5) Lok adalat at every nook and corner.
6) Close all the backlog of legal cases in a year. Now on, a legal case should not take more than 6-months.
7) Fine for people having more than 2 children. Give 5,000 Rs for family planning.
8 ) Impose tada on 'dada's
9) Abolish reservation. Its been here for too long. Supposed to have been closed ages ago.
10) Inter-link, intra-link , put a wan, lan, man... do whatever with rivers.
11) Govt jobs to be filled through campus placements, competitive exams. No reservation. Entry salary on par with private firms.
12) Child labour abolishion. People expoiting children would be jailed.
13) Electric chair death for murderers. That too with 3 shots of electricity, not one 20-min short. Sounds cruel, but we can't be lax in certain things. 'Scare' is the keyword. People have to think 100 times before doing a mistake.
14) Carte blanche to journalists.
And after all this, I won't take up the post again.. coz I wont be given a chance again
