Sales: Art or Fraud? - 04-11-2007, 11:46 PM

hey i had came across a real b'ful case study .

Mr.A said that "A salesperson should be such that he should be able to sell a fridge to eskimos"

Mr.B says "Does that mean a salesperson is a fraud"

Mr. A replied : no, It means he should be enough skillful to sell a product and services to anyone and everyone and if salesperson is a fraud he would be kicked out of the Organisation and also by customer.

Mr. B says that yes i do understand that but if we look from the marketing point of view .An organisation should think from the customer point of view and according to the needs of the customer he should give the product.

Therefore we can say that Salesperson has to look from the customers point of view.

Mr. A says it is not that way . U are interpreting it wrong.

Mr. C enters the room and he says it is the sleeping need of the customer and that has to be turned into the urgent needs.

Mr. B thinks , that there is no need of the customer over here and it is just like selling some or the other way.He is just looking at the organisational obj and not the requirement of customers.

I am confused who is the right person in this.

I hope so you would remove ur precious time and answer this and tell me who is right here.

GUYS TAKE THE DECISION AND SELECT ONE OF THEM

The Salesperson is neither practising fraud or art...he is just meeting targets

ciao..

What i think is, Mr. A has gone a bit beyond in describing the SalesPerson or the Mr. B has taken his word in different spirit. its just a confusion of the sentences they are using.

Mr. A wants to tell actually the Salesperson should be able to make low priority or need of customer to turn into a better / urgent need by using his/her skill.

Its not about the customer's point of view or Needs, they have to trun it into that. I hope I am a bit clear with my words :satisfie:
