Waaaiill!!! I don't come on the thread for one day, and find two whole pages of quizzes, almost all already answered! What spirit of ancient quizzing Gods entered into you guys pre-Christmas? Still, thanks for the surfeit of quizzes Shrikanth.

1. Marshall Plan

3. Savarkar?
And I have the good fortune of being the first person on this thread to wish you guys Merry Christmas , and of course

1)well, 2 down, 1 to go, so...Socrates!
|
Actually, Socrates was the teacher of Plato, who in turn was the teacher of Aristotle. S prob had already died before A became the protégé of P. Hmm, seems handling all the B,C,L,I stuff etc has given me a penchant for acronyms. I love the Christmas caps! But Monsieur's cap should be the most colorful I'd say, rather than monochrome-ish.

A Gem! In fact, both of them are sublime. Just being reminded about Fink-Nottle's drunken expoits in Right Ho.. elevated my mood. Remember his tirade against PK Purvis! ROFL!!!
Much-Obliged.. is incredible. In fact, IMO, though Right Ho.. is brilliant in places, such as that prize-giving ceremony, Much-Obliged.. is better overall, and almost every page will give double you up.
Glad that we have been talking more of giants like Hergé and Wodehouse in the last few pages.

It was a secular party ,albeit conservative.
Probably the only secular,right-wing party(an odd combination)we have
had since independence.
And the answer to the other question is not Socrates, but Newton.

hey ....this has really has become a FMCT (fast moving consumer thread ).. so only one puzzle from my side.
name the mythical creature having the head, beak, and wings of an eagle, the body and legs of a lion, and occasionally a serpent's tail.
pretty simple though..
