hi deb...look for dell xps series...awesome performers...premium categories...will cost u around 55-60k.my uncle is a lappy dealer himself.....n he told me that in delhi the showroom wala may put in old batteries etc in ur laptop b4 giving it to u...and dell u cant purchase frm a stor...they dnt hv any in india...u'll hv to order one thru net...as i did...also they provide one yr accidental warranty...one time replacement of ur lappy if its broken into pieces...so u cn definitely use ur lappy to hv a real fist with some1...at least once

SETUMBA bhai u can certainly have a good lappie in 30 k... but i am not sure about Dell coz the minimum with a cam n all is 33k

sure you can get a decent lappie from zenith or Hcl or some other seller... More over try HP base model DOS based... you will get that in some where around 29K....
you can eventually download drivers from net using some other internet coonnected system or borrow it from some friends and moreover getting software wont be a problem... but surely it will be a hectic task to get all the drivers and installing them one by one...

so the final word is ...YES YOU CAN HAVE A GOOD LAPPIE like HP in Sub 30K price range...

hii.. i want to go for the dell inspiron 1525 (2 ghz processor, 3 gb ram, 160 gb sata hdd, rest config the same as 1420 i think).. its available for 42k (including taxes)..
i spoke with dell sales executives n they said that bulk deals can be negotiated even for different dell models..
is dat d case.. can i join this bulk deal????

haan yaar, 90% going for a dell lappy. what configs they have man. i am truly in love. but have to talk with dad first. ultimately he is paying so...

if horses could fly, i would ahve bought the Acer: ferrari. just check it out. you would go nuts.

sony bhai, isnt vat applicable in delhi too? i mean when you calculate the price for delhi on dell's site it adds the price, so i feel ist applicable.

No in website its applicable to all states & cities..but its negotiable & absorbed by the company itself in these few states..some kind of IT rules..pls donot ask me more

umm.. you know i have a config of dell xps1530 thats just captivated my heart. but--at 68k..uff yeh bedardi.

i am trying to reduce it like anything. lets see.
