I've been using it for the past few months since it was launched...And gotta admit...Its been REAL good...Never really expected BSNL to live upto its promise of 256kbps when it said so...But they do provide the same  As for the b/w that you get...presently its unlimited (that explains my >15GB downloads per month ;-)) ...But after June 1st they are gonna stick by the 1GB pm for the 256kbps plan...For your usage, you cud prolly use that 1GB over a few months Normal browsing rarely, if ever, uses a lot of b/w...Its only d/ls and when u watch movies online that you really start using up b/w....And yea, for downloading a site, a few KB invariably have to be uploaded...The remote comp should know where it has to send its data ;-)

thanx all u guys for ur suggestions (uRmad, vineet, maverick) , but still the problem is the same  and it seems that the only panacea to my prob. is a new HDD so looking forward to get a new one (80GB). shud i go for seagate or samsung ?

??: and plz give some gyan on how to achieve the maximum usage of it since a lot of it gets dissipated while partitioning it. want to make 4 partitions 15,15,20,30 GB's.
btw uRmad, is there any chance that i can get a DATAONE connection with unlimited d/ld in the same scheme,u being very lucky though!!! but i dont watch movies on net its just whether 1GB wud be suffice? These BSNL ppl r so sluggish, its been 13 days since i have subscribed to it and yet there r'nt any signs of them fixing the modem to my comp. ,once its done only then wud come to know if its worthy enough or not.
till then...
take care u al n kp rockin
