probably, but there' still lot of confusion over this issue....
But if you are in india, I would say don't worry much about this issue, as Indian Cyber Law are not clear on this issue either (they have lot of catching to do on all issues ) ... just go ahead and use it
don't have direct link for patch ... but it must be available on net but you need to search for it

Best Free Anti-Virus Software
AVG Antivirus Free Edition ( my fav.) - It's relatively small, light on resources, has regular automatic updates and handles email scanning. There is a free and a pro version, the only difference being that the free version has a few non-critical features disabled and has no direct technical support.
Avast! scanner - Avast! also required periodic re-registration while AVG does not.

Personally I dont prefer using free versions as virus definitions and the like are bad.
I suggest the McAfee Internet Security Suite. Its got a kickass combination of applications - Spam Killer, Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Firewall, Privacy, Shredder etc.
Its easy on the system and very user friendly.
And it has one of the best firewall I have seen. However, it is difficult to get hold of (cough) pirated (cough).
But when I can afford it, it definitely be worth paying for.
Cheers.

I was talking about free anti-virus .... spyware & firewall don't come under definition of anti-virus IMO ...
NOD32 is not doubt one of the best anti-virus but it is not free, that's why you I dint mentioned it ...
If u need firewall as well as spyware, you can always opt for AVG Internet Security
& there's a code available for Nokia, but i forgotten it ... but many ppl know about such code, better ask any mobile dealer, he'll help ya

Problem with Norton is it consume lots of system resources and slow downs the system over a period of time ....
AVG I mentioned is free and one of best ... it is as good as norton, so you can go for it without any doubt

In case of AVG, there's no problem with virus definition, I been using it for last 2 years and I never faced a single problem ... in fact it provides most up-to-date protection
McAfee used to be good in early days & I was big fan of it at that time, i dint tried it Internet Security suite though ....
