If you have a problem with the "nagware" WGA - all you need to do is system restore to a date before the said installation of the WGA, reboot and then ensure that you use the manual installation of the windows updates. That way you are basically allowed to see what you download and choice what you want to.

Cheers.

that's a nice idea and very clever use of System Restore ....

But I always disable System Restore function in XP as it consume too much power and I rarely uses it ....

its actually really useful if you install windows and programs on seperate drives. that way you can use system restore if some of your programs are malfunctioning.

Moreover, its always good to keep a system restore. Dont have to make one everyday. More like once every fifteen days or so.

Cheers.

hi Vishal,
i also faced the same problem...3-4 months ago...then an uninstall and a re-install of the IE7 worked for me...
may be you can also try the same...

also you must try firefox...a very gud browser and quite stable too...(i suppose u must have tried)...

PS: SOLARIS environment(which i work upon) doesn't have internet explorer, hence my suggestion regrading firefox...

I agree with Raghav said ... it's probably problem with one of add-ons or dependency files that IE uses .... try to get a new copy of IE7(full), uninstall previous one and reinstall new one

Download IE7 from here
