Gaurav, you are very clear but the logic is wrong.

Swayamwar is a test of competency of the match.(governed by the time period in question)

Love is just an arbit attraction. Plumber explained it quite well in his post:

No, not the searching-spree but the following-spree does start when the girl comes across a rich (good looking is a bonus) guy. Similarly, there are other standards which the guys look for, which are outside the scope of this online forum

Ladies, do not flame me for this. I know none of the girls on this forum is like that.

For me it is not exactly the caste but you see everyone has his own perimeters. What you said is ideal but as you increase the search parameters, the search results also narrow down.

There are two things, as I also specified in my last post – can and does. How many ‘can’depends on how wide a gap they have to bridge and much of an effort they are ready to put in.

How many ‘do’ – Egos! (Sorry, never experienced ‘true’ love)

(by the way, I remember having seen some such cases on some programme on discovery channel…
For one, I never said said it was impossible. The point is whether we are discussing the things in general or we are just looking for the exceptions(as seen on TV?) Don’t you think we shall talk about the things around us rather than looking for the exceptions?

I think so too. it is surely possible that a normal handsome man falls in love with a retarted or physically challenged girl. i have seen such a case that too in my family.
when physically challenged people fight back and accept the challenge that the life has given them, it is their strength that attracts people towards them. These exceptions happen all around us. we just need to see them.

Well…ur words were “why don’t we ever see”…which means ‘we never see’…this generalisation was absolute…hence, I gave that elaborate explanation of the point I was trying to make…

I understood ur point of 'love' being only infatuation in general..that is true…but true love also exists, and it’s rare…and that is a truth too…in the end it all boils down to individual perception…

Nyway, what exactly is ur stance for this topic?...cud u plz elaborate…
