Connect: Austin Codrington, Fidel Edwards, Charita Buddhika, Tony Dodemaine, Shaul Karnain and Allan Donald.

Hint: Of the above, Fidel Edwards was the best and Tony Dodemaine was the first.

Chuck

All of them took a five-for wicket haul in the very first ODI they played.
I think Fidel Edwards had taken 6 wickets. Hence, the best?

PS- It's an educated guess. I know of Fidel, Austin Codrington and Allan Donald only

Excellent!

Yeah, even I knew of only Fidel, Austin and Allan. I had to Cricinfo the others

So can anyone name the people who scored a century on ODI debut?

And bonus question: Which Indian scored a fifty on ODI debut, and a century on Test debut? The only Indian to do that till now.

Chuck

Dude, you're good :-)

Let's give you a tough one. Who are the only FIVE Indian cricketers to be commemorated on Indian postage stamps?

Don't Google this up. Try it

Ahem!

Cool one. Tough one, without doubt.

C K Naydu has been cracked.
As far as I know, no one after the 1960s era has been depicted on a stamp.

So my 4 guesses are Ranjit Singhji (after whom Ranji trophy has been named), Vijay Hazare, Vinoo Mankad and Lala Amarnath.

Hope to get at least one correct

Very close
It wasn't Amarnath, it was Deodar, after whom the Deodhar trophy was named. Others are right.

Full list:
KS Ranjitsinjhi (who technically played for England), BS Deodar, Vinoo Mankad, Vijay Hazare, Vijay Merchant.

Excellent guess, Anish!

Chuck

I was tempted to go for Duleepsinghji, but put in Vijay Hazare in the last moment

I really hope this happens again.
