Well India end day 1 at Basin Reserve on 375/9.They were at one stage 75/0 and were reduced to 203/6,but thanks to Dhoni,Harbhajan and Zaheer,we have had a commanding day
Hmm ... would have loved to see sachin score another ton .. He was going great guns

Arun lal for the first time was talking some sense while comparing the approach of sachin and dravid

Hope India crosses 400 tomorrow .. Hail the tail

its better not to set expectations from tail-enders..
watever they score tomorrow morning will be a bonus...keeping in mind the moisture and breeze early in the day it would be great if we cross 400 and then make NZ bat and get couple of wickets in first session .. then on it will be interesting !!

for today veeru again disaaponted, sachin was amazing as always...
dhoni batted sensibly whereas harbhajan and zaheer were the dark horses..kudos to all of them...

yuvraj needs to do a bit of thinking !!!

lets hope tomorrow belongs to INDIA as today...

Enjoy and Keep Rocking !!

Thanks...
Praddz

I know it's unfair to say this, but don't you guys feel it's high time Dravid and Laxman are given a strong signal?A half century and a century in a dead pitch, fine enough, but both of them are not their usual selves,I mean what they were even 4-5 years ago, forget 7-8.And my T 20 and ODI hero Yuvraj Singh is really finding it tough to get into tet match mode.Barring that 50 not out in the same pitch,he has not contributed at all.He has huge boots to fill in,I admit.Sourav Ganguly was the best left hander India has ever produced, but when we have Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja scoring tons after tons in domestic cricket, how long can we afford these kind of failures ?I'm not saying immediately axe the trio, but at least some message should be sent to them, strong ones, don't you feel so?

ANOTHER AUSSIE PULLS OUT OF IPL

After Ricky Ponting,it's the turn of Michael Hussey to pull out of IPL.He says he wants to concentrate on Ashes.Other notable Australians missing out on cash rich 20-20 bonanza are------Michael Clarke and Mitchell Johnson who didn't participate in the auction,Brad Haddin who didn't find a buyer.Well,CSK will not have the services of Jacob Oram, who's ruled out with an injury, and now Hussey.Tough luck for them.

But CSK have Matthew Hayden and George Bailey (T20 average 34, strike rate 156) to make up for the absence.

Finally, some sense prevails. But I doubt whether ICC (which means BCCI!) will approve of this

Even Shane Bond is planning a comeback to international cricket..... But this is only if ICL authorities are willing to relieve him of his contract... which is likely as they couldn't conduct it this year due to the recession and other problems.

Cricinfo - Bond revisits his stance on comeback

Re: Cricket Trivia and Discussions.. - 07-04-2009, 12:32 PM

Ok, so our captain cool declares the innings with a humungous and unsurpassable lead of 616 runs, thinking that India would win the test match in two days with bowlers like Munaf Patel in the team Although there's prediction of rain, we don't really need to worry. I mean come on Munaf will get us 5-6 wickets.

I am seriously pissed off at Dhoni for just letting the match go out of hand. Why the hell did we need a lead of 600+ . NZ would not have been able to reach it even if they batted twice Ok, if you want to set a target of 600+ then at least bat quickly you bat with RR of 3.74 .
I understand they wanted to take the match away from NZ but come on, no team would have scored even a 500 on that wicket with Zaheer and Bhajji on fire. It shows how much you trust your bowling attack and the whole team. Really disappointing.

Counter opinions welcome.

RD.
