But it might have serious repercussions, especially in India and Australia.
Ponting has already gone on the record and said that Harby has unmasked himself, bhajji has not done himself any favours by slapping Sree. Not only he would suffer financial losses, he might be banned for life if he again gets reported.
I has one of the many who supported Bhaj in the "teri maa-ki" aka "monkey" incidence. But now i am forced to think if actually bhajji was the true saint he himself portrayed as. The only factor that goes in his favor is Sachin supported him.
As pointed out by Warnie, the controversy might bring out the best out of Harbhajan. ( Doesnt Warne know about controversies ! ) lolz
Finally, i feel India might do well without the Antics of Sree and Harby. They should rather concentrate to get back to winning ways.

Absolutely correct mate.Even i feel somewhere in my heart, that bhajji actually abused Symond. But Sachins support is definitely big support in bhajjis favor.
But enough of this crap and fight.India should deifintely forget all this and ger themselves up for upcoming bangladesh tour and asia cup.
it would be nice to see sre and bhajj together in same team.

Bhajji did abuse Symonds. He said to Symonds - " Teri *** **". Isn't that abuse? Bhajji was guilty in that issue but I don't think its a big deal this time.
I mean the team do a lot of things in the dressing room.. Slap each other or do whatever they want do.. I guess the slapping was done in the spurn of the moment as a reaction and wasn't meant to hurt/attack Sreesanth. Just because it fell in media eyes, this issue got hyped.
I still believe he has better manners & behavior than Shoaib Akhtar.. who admitted for being on dope.. caught in pub brawls.. Hit his own team-mate with a bat (Not a slap) etc etc. But he still remains a star for KKR and they let him play tournaments like IPL.. ! What an irony!

ya ur correct mate, its irony that shoaib is still playing.
But if u look in long term context, its good that BCCI is acting so harsh on bhajji.
It will be an eye opener especially for young cricketers who might commit same mistake in near future in their exuberance of youth.I support BCCI on implementing their policies so harshly.
cant comment on PCB, as they are always close cards.Shoaib must be lucky chap

Woke up from my sleep and went to Cricinfo to check the IPL points table, but something else caught my sleepy attention before that.
Gutsy Chanderpaul sparks Windies
Australia 431 and 17 for 4 (Powell 2-4, Edwards 2-11) lead West Indies 312 (Chanderpaul 118, Morton 67, Clark 3-59, Lee 3-63) by 136 runs
A small West Indian revival or an Australian decline?
As has been said a million times before, cricket needs a strong West Indies. They might never again be as strong as in 60s-80s,but we need them to be among the top 3-4 sides of the world.
They are still likely to lose this match, but I pray that they win it.

One bad update from IPL -
Dravid may call off deal with Mallya.Unhappy with the way team management has treated players, RCB skipper and icon player looks to end three year contract with owner.

Is it time to bid farewell to the national matches, and turn to the club encounters as the major thing?
Maybe not just T-20, but club cricket should be the norm, I believe. Even after being halfway through the test series against England; Ross Taylor writes fondly about IPL and not so well about the Anglo-Kiwi series. Minds focussed elsewhere? Or is it just the charm of club cricket, like football that is enchanting these players?

Can't see the shift to club culture happening.First question, which is the country which will support this shift?England, don't have sufficient money.Australia, don't have sufficient teams.India, don't have sufficient quality teams.South Africa?Well, yes may be but they too would lack the money.Besides a country like South Africa cannot be the primary hub of any international sports.India have size,England have tradition,Australia have quality,South Africa doesn't have any USP as of now.And forget about other teams.
Pakistan want to organise a PPL.The statement they recently made is "Everything is fine,we have sponsors,we just need to find a slot in the ICC Calendar".Idiots, that is the biggest hurdle.
Just can't see domestic cricket replacing international cricket as the driving force of the game. For years (rather decades) to come.
And to think of T20 replacing Test Cricket,oh utter sacrilege. :wink1:
