No offence meant, but is this supposed to be a quiz qn ? how the hell is anyone supposed to remember the no. of 6s a batsman hit, or the no. of maiden overs a bowler bowled ?
i dont think the Q was that bad...it was very much related to the current happenings in world cricket....on a second thought may b i cld have provided a few options....

I have a very serious Q to ask!!!

I was told that in order to select players for the test and the ODIs one uses the subject "statistics". How does this selection happen? Why aren't some test players included in ODIs?

Although I love watching the game I really don't know how the selestions happen. Help me out, Junta!!!!

Hello
Statistics is NOT used as a subject for any selections/. Basically the players performance and style of playing is considered for selection.
Statistics in the sense of how many runs or wkts takenby the player can be a guiding force for team selections

cheers
Pushkar

Taylor Taibu and Matsiyekeneri.

Okay, in that case I'll be a bit more specific. My prof said that it is "standard deviation"(one of the various terms used in stats) is used in order to select a bowler or a batsman for the test series and the ODIs. How is that done?

P.S: Y are the poll results up there not being displayed? All I see is, 0% for every single player there.
